Kingston Council change parking enforcement contractor
APCOA will take up the contract on 1 October, replacing the outgoing contractor NSL (Marston Holdings). There will be no disruption to parking services for customers so says KC.2 -
Automated PTZ ANPR for scanning individual bays is now available, and can determine if a vehicle is EV or not. They can also link to an allowlist to check if the vehicle is actively charging / a registered BB holder.
Surely you know where the use of a sock to cover plates quote came from.0 -
Falls of Shin visitors hit with hefty parking 'fines' branded it a "total rip-off" on social media. Landowner says he is not enamoured with the present parking system. The owner states he's not benefited a penny from the charges Civil Enforcement issued and "on October 16, we are putting in a good, old-fashioned car park machine where you pay using your credit card or cash."Good to read a Landowner listened to his angry customers and heeded the warning from one community councillor “There is not going to be a business operating down there shortly if this is not sorted out.”2

"Automated PTZ ANPR for scanning individual bays is now available, and can determine if a vehicle is EV or not."
It seems G24 boast about the above:-
https://g24.co.uk/ev/
"...directional ANPR cameras can identify non-electric, or non-charging, vehicles in EV spaces..."
"......directional ANPR within your car park can automatically gather vast amounts of bay occupancy data."
Not sure if this involves a person somewhere playing with his/her joystick though.3 -
Am pretty sure ParkingEye acquired G24 recently.
The PTZ camera is programmed with a ‘patrol route’ and stops at each bay, recording the reg of the vehicle present. 1st and last image is used for the period of parking, and is fully automated.

I wonder whether PE have almost immediately had to stump up for G24's failed foray into the litigation arena? 😩

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The Trafford Centre will soon introduce premium parking - which doesn't seem all that bad an idea if you get an experience like this one...
