waiting is not parking?
can't find a space
, carry park to expensive, never mind we will try and scam you out of £100
yet another case of an out of control parking industry
https://www.devonlive.com/news/local-news/couple-fined-100-leaving-car-9658701From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"3 -
And why did Parkingeye cancel the driver's PCN after saying it was correctly issued with POPLA and BPA/IPC CoP all agreeing.
Looks like they cancelled because the driver raised the rip-off T&C with PM, relevant MPs and of course the media.2 -
I'm not sure if this applies to all car parks across the country where the RingGo App' is in use, but it has been reported that car park users in Devon will have to pay an additional 10p to use this App.Changes to car park charges for customers using the RingGo app.RingGo is also increasing the optional SMS reminder fee from 10p to 15p.The increases only apply to users using the RingGo app and not to users paying by cash or with a debit card.RingGo is in the process of changing signage in all car parks, and it is anticipated that this will be completed as soon as possible.I married my cousin. Most parking apps have a service charge applied. That's how the app company earn their money, but 10-20p is worth the convenience of being able to pay for the actual length of stay rather than guessing how long you will be and paying for longer than needed.

The 5 minute consideration period is a joke, designed to achieve maximum failure. Almost impossible to drive in, find a spot, get out of car (do you leave kids alone?), go over to the signage, read the terms, go to the P&D, work out the cost, then make payment (cash, card, app each have different time requirements).A suitable challenge for The Cube! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Parkingeye's 5min consideration period in the news again.
Visitor's nostalgic visit to Margate totally ruined by receiving a parking charge for pulling in and out of a car park 11 seconds late.Brenda Reed, 78, was visiting Kent from the USA after moving 60 years ago. She said "We were just looking for the Winter Gardens and realised we needed to go further up the coastline, so had literally stopped the car, got out, realised our mistake and drove further up."Parkingeye said "The motorist parked in the car park without paying and therefore received a parking charge"3 -
On a recent Fakebook post, that sadly I cannot now find, there was a report with photos of a car park (in Devon I think) where the ANPR scamera had been "disabled." Apparently someone cut through the pole with an ankle-grinder (not a typo).
The site is infested by Horizon, and it was also reported that this was the second time it had happened.
I do not condone vandalism and destruction of property, but I do understand why it was done. If unregulated private parking companies operated fairly, and had a fair and independent appeals process, I suspect this sort of thing would be a very rare occurrence.

This one's in Telford @Fruitcake don't know if that's Devon way with me residing over the border. I don't do Facebook but seems the link refers to same story.
It's looks quite a high pole in the picture!
