Euro Car Parks"“It specified the grounds on the website allowing you to appeal. One of them was extreme circumstances where you had to give evidence of a medical emergency, which prevented you from returning to your vehicle. I thought that’s bang on.”
He supplied the company with call logs to show he was providing medical assistance and waiting for an ambulance but was shocked to be told it would be rejecting his appeal. As he did not pay the initial £50 fine, it had been increased to £155."
Oh dear:-
"“When I called 999, they specifically told me to stay with the patient. I couldn’t just say to the lady, ‘Do you mind just waiting while I go move my car?’”
Mr Kelly, who has since paid the fine because he did not want his credit score to be impacted, said he spoke to a local councillor about challenging the ticket in court. However, he was advised it would cost more than the fine itself.

Shame on Euro Car Parks for rejecting his appeal and the councillor for giving wrong advice.

The Trade Associations were given the opportunity to respond. The BPA did, probably better if they'd said nothing like the IPC.6 -
A decent article but far too many usages of penalty, and also this:The downside to doing this is that you may forfeit the discount for settling within 14 days, so don't challenge unless you reckon you have a reasonable chance of winning.

Wish Street car park managed by ECP claims another victim who didn't know the parking time starts when you enter the car park. The time printed on your purchased ticket is irrelevant.

Excel Parking: Pensioner hit with £100 demand after hunt for Broomhill pay meters that 'didn't exist'.
The pensioner's hunt in a car park that's been pay meter free for at least 5mths and attempts to pay by other means caused him to far exceed Excel's 10min pay time deadline. As one would expect his appeal to Excel was rejected but amazingly his second appeal to IAS was SUCCESSFUL.A woman who encountered similar issues had BOTH her appeals rejected is preparing to fight Excel in court.5
