“One of the principal public interest concerns arising from this case is the appearance of lawyers being too closely attached to an unscrupulous debt collection firm (Debt Collection Bailiffs Ltd) whom, habitually, issue repeated, aggressive but palpably false threats of county court judgements and bailiff visits to the homes of alleged car parking offenders, even before any form of legal action has commenced."
"lawyers ... have no regard for their first duty as officers of the court and use junior employees of their firm as ‘human shields’, potentially bring the entire profession into disrepute"
“Moreover, the use of poorly drafted, boilerplate script when formulating claims, particulars and correspondence, completely absent of probative evidence, are also harmful to the effective administration of civil justice and particularly vexing, and costly, to those embroiled in actions with, or against, such law firms.
Both UKPC and DCB Legal have been offered right of reply. McDonald’s have been contacted, via their UK press office, for comment."
Don't hold your breath waiting, Neil Wilbey.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Did anyone hear the item on Jeremy Vine on R2 yesterday? It was about Tony Schiavone who is determined not to pay his PCN (and the judge's ruling) unless he receives the letter in Welsh. I had to get out the car before the end but at time of writing, the opinion was split 50/50 as to whether he should pay or continue to wait! Typical for a BBC programme not wanting to upset anyone!2

Re discussions about delays for new PPCoP in this thread - there has been a "niggle" in the back of my head. After opening various docs and using control F I eventually found the "niggle".Hopefully I'm wasting everyone's time - and I have got the wrong end of the stick - in thinking that THIS may mean another delay?:-4.9…………...The ability to continue driving as individuals become older is also a fundamentaldeterminant of the quality of life among older adults10. 24% of news articles and 19% ofDepartmental correspondence related to private parking reported the penalisation ofvulnerable customers/equality issues.
