MET should be reporting their data breach to the ICO. Wonder if they will? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Metro.co.uk has contacted UK Car Park Management Ltd for a comment.See this in almost every press report, never see a brave enough PPC responding. They should also be reporting themselves to the DVLA KADOE team as this is a major data breach.
This is more ammo for the court claim against the DVLA as well, if only some of the victims would take this up with the solicitors currently preparing a claim against the DVLA.
Our problem is, and has always been, how do we reach the people who have been affected? I've posted many a comment on one of these news feeds, and emailed reporters, but have never had a response from anyone.I married my cousin. McDonalds are lucky that people still want junk food ??
Will the BPA investigate MET ? Doubt it, not while MET PAY THEIR MEMBERS FEE
If these big corporates, and those who work within them can be hit hard (GDPR has a section on personal liability) over the actions of their agents, people may think again before signing the dotted line on a PPC contract.
Sign here and you personally, not the company will be personally liable should the agents (the PPC) mess upFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I asked the BPA a quick question about whether all PCNs had been refunded by MET. Three misled victims (or maybe hire/lease firms who check nothing) had actually paid a £60 charge for something that never happened.
Just shows how the whole private parking charge premise is money for old rope, when a number of recipients are just going to pay when they receive any old letter with a pic of a car on it:Good Afternoon xxx
You are correct, this was caused by an incorrect location. The parking contraventions occurred at McDonald’s Newtown in Wales but the name of the site referenced was BP – South Mimms, which is Potters Bar.
This was picked up by MET Parking who self-reported to both the BPA and DVLA.
All charges were cancelled and 3 charges which had been paid and were all refunded.
I hope this is helpful
Kind Regards
