They need to prioritise front line staff when it comes down to parking spaces. Remember the breast cancer nurse who was working between hospitals so did not have a permit and was made bankrupt through PCN's? She could not leave patients who had just come around after a very mutilating operation.
That was disgusting .... Trouble is, Judges are just as bad with some simply not understanding even they are being scammed

The Unions for medical staff should get their finger out
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4896530/Nurse-amassed-car-park-fines-loses-legal-battle.html

This was the case and what makes this worse is that it was a lady judge. If this nurse was staying over her shift it was likely to be to stay with a patient when they were in recovery after a mastectomy. They have special nurses for this.

Note also that the PPC claimed a debt recovery charge for each PCN in the claim against the pediatric nurse.

What a bad lady Judge.   Let us hope for her sake that if she needs a cancer nurse in future there are enough nurses left to help.  That includes the animals who operate the car parks

There is also a lot of debt recovery charges included in those claims. They claimed debt collection charges on each PCN in the claim against the pediatric nurse.

This is not a recent case but certain cases stick in your memory don't they.

The claim against Tyler Christian by VCS is also one that sticks in my mind. Such an inspirational person. Worth a million of someone like SRS.

BPA's Parking News is out for July 2022 with mention of the Judicial Reviews:

Steve Clark on page 8 wrongly saying that allowing the false DRA 'fee' somehow stops courts being 'swamped':
    https://portfolio.cpl.co.uk/Parking-News/420/8/

    Pull the other one.

The courts ARE swamped now, and have been ever since the Beavis case and Gary Osner (or the IPC /Gladstones, depending on your view of the history) brought to the table the bright idea (effectively):

"let's add £60 on top of parking charges; we will make a fortune and no-one will call it out as extortion. We can pass victims around between members and paint it as the cost of what we will call debt resolution".

Which, some might say, is what smarmy Derek Millard-Smith (the PPCs' pet 'lawyer') does on page 34/35:

    https://portfolio.cpl.co.uk/Parking-News/420/34/

The Judicial Reviews are being gloated about. It is clearly all about the gravy train for them.

Not parking management, just money and a focus on 'enforcement' and a consumer blame culture. When will this industry grow a social conscience and actually do a proper job?

Is it going to take landowners taking back control, kicking out PPCs and putting their own polite signs and systems up, to run parking management as an honest element of their business?  First major supermarket to do that gets my business.

The article says ..... "The Secretary Of State has decided to withdraw the decisions made"

But, Mr Gove was sacked yesterday so will we ever know what deal Gove did with the private parking scam

Marcus Jones MP is the new Minister of State at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
    https://www.marcusjones.org.uk/

The challenge now is .... was Gove fit for purpose, being sacked suggests he was not ??

It seems that Neil O'Brien MP is still in government and he backed the new code of practice as did many MP's

Will Marcus Jones MP act as a traitor to the motorist and his constituents in Nuneaton .....

And that is the question everyone must ask their own MP especially if they are Tory ?

No deal has been done. The Govt simply agreed that they need an Impact Assessment.

It's Greg Clark at DLUHC as SoS now, surely?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes it is Greg Clark, MP for Tunbridge Wells. When I googled yesterday it came up with Marcus Jones ...

What still applies is the protection for the motorist and his constituents

I don't think he was sacked for not being "fit for purpose"
I think he was sacked (by Boris) for trying to stab Boris with a blunt pencil
That was a question to which Boris is the only one who knows.
