The comments on that ParkingEye retail park sum up why shopping centres are dying. People will not return after being unfairly 'fined'.
When will retailers realise this?We now have the RAC Foundation figures they have obtained from the DVLA, showing yet another massive rise in Private PCNs issued this past year:
https://news.sky.com/story/amp/drivers-handed-record-8-6-million-parking-tickets-by-private-firms-over-12-months-12644088
Shame on them."Drivers handed record 8.6 million parking tickets by private firms over 12 months
Between April 2021 and March 2022, the rate of tickets being issued reached an average of 23,000 every day, according to data from the Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA)."
Also notable, is how many new PPCs have jumped on this lucrative bandwagon since 2016.
Now: "Around 177 parking management businesses requested car owner records in the year to the end of March".
Last year it was 159 companies.
As recently as 2016, it was 97 companies:

Pardon the mixed metaphor, but milking the gravy train before capping! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Heres another one;Woman stung by £100 parking "Fine" after donating blood at a hotelFrom the story the Hotel had been used previously for blood donation without any issues, however it appears that parking eye have installed a terminal where you have to register, as as she parked as before and didnt use some poxy terminal ( as one wasnt there)So upon the latest visit she did as previous , only to encounter a parking charge notice. What should have happened is that the hotel should have intervened and cancelled the parking charge notice, and/or the parking company should have cancelled as soon as it was clear that the vehicle was on site for a legitimate reason .Ultimatly this is the Hotels errorstory here:

If that were the case then you would see the same picture across all regions not just Wokingham.3
