There's a comment from a 'Mick Cooke' possibly an erstwhile director of Armtrac who had previously threatened to break the fingers of ParkingTicketAppeals personnel should they visit and check any car park that his company managed. Whether it is one and the same person, I'll let the reader decide! 🤓

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If you're alluding that person to be me ... sorry to disappoint. (I've had this out with another forum member before). I merely followed your link and read the comments. :)

  • It feels so good when its pay back time!!
Like Robert McCall I gave them the chance when I appealed, they made that decision so they can only blame themselves for what happened to them now...

Mick Cooke has actually laughed at your reply underneath where the PP article about him threatening to break fingers was shown.

If he thinks it's funny then he might be laughing on the other side of his face in the end. It's people like him that fire us all up to do what we do. Just makes us more determined.

The Cooke family got a dose of their own medicine when their greed clouded their judgement and they got a feeling what its like to be conned!  It clearly didn't instill them with any empathy. I like seeing Karma in action. The best thing was the thief (who is clearly a scumbag based on his other convictions) could only pay them back £1. No honour amongst thieves it seems! Normally I don't relish in peoples misfortune, but you reap what you sew in life and this was karma.

Quite amusing how Cook described the thief:

"a convincing liar. He knows little else but the parking business and how to lie and con his targets,"

Sums it up, really.  All in one sentence. The two tend to go hand in hand, in our experience.
