Long term for our IONIQ is 4.7m/kWh, but can easily get 5+ by driving gently (not slow) in ECO mode rather than sport. For TiMmY the Tesla we are at 262Wh/mile, or 3.82m/kWh, but she's a big girl with big shoes (255mm) and cough>occasionally<cough hits triple digit speeds.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.2 -

This particular journey was all B-roads and country lanes once out of the city. I had a bit of a tailwind on the way out and took it pretty easy with very gentle acceleration and planning a long way ahead. Stuck to 55mph and below and had a 4x4 to follow for most of the way home; I wasn't in a hurry! Ambient temperature was perfect so HVAC was off.
We're averaging about 3.5 with some motorway driving since having the car. This is including a large mileage increase over the winter, but around 3.9-4 is my spreadsheeted average over the past 3 months, over just under 8000 miles. This includes a commute of M11/A406 so much different driving conditions.
Do you mind me asking which Leaf you have?💙💛 💔0 -
It's an MG5 (SR), not a Leaf. My driving is mostly city and Norfolk countryside so it's only on the long journeys that I get above 60 for any length of time. On the other hand, I do have lots of stop/start driving with a fair bit of sitting about waiting with the HVAC and stereo on.CKhalvashi said:

Sorry Petriix, I thought you were a Leaf driver, must have had you mixed with someone from the BEV thread.Petriix said:

That's really good info, the MG5 is supposed to be a really good car so you've obviously chosen well. A local taxi company has an MG5 LR (with I think 2 more to come) and is equally happy with it. Not seen either of the directors recently so haven't been able to chat with them about how it's doing with them yet.💙💛 💔0 -
Norfolk flat as a pancake that will help.1

I did previously drive a Leaf 40 for work, about 3 years ago. The MG5 has been great for me, but the new one (launched today) is over £10k more than the original once you factor in the removed government grant and the heavy discounts MG were offering. It's hard to adjust to current prices but I certainly wouldn't have paid £33k for mine.CKhalvashi said:

What's the rear legroom like in the MG? You're really tempting me and this seems like as good a time as any to grab one0

I'm getting 4.1 year average in my Skoda Enyaq, with about 20-30% miles at motorway speeds. My daily commute at the moment also includes 2 big hills, down and up, which just murders the efficiency at 50-60 mph.
I've got a heat pump to condition the battery, and my winter average was about 3.7. At the time I was expecting it to increase significantly in the summer, but in fact it was the heat pump bringing the winter efficiency up. Summer has only really improved it to 4.3-4.5, but still really happy with that.I spend quite a bit of time parked up and working in the car with the AC on - only uses about 0.6 kW/hr with just the AC and radio on, and the impact on efficiency has been insignificant overall.2 -
There's a reasonable amount of space, but there's no room for your feet under the driver's seat if it's in a low position which could be an issue if a tall adult was behind the driver. There's more room than in the Leaf.Herzlos said:What's the rear legroom like in the MG? You're really tempting me and this seems like as good a time as any to grab one0 -

This is why I don't want an EV
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0
