I'm on two NSDs so far. Spendy start to the month, with a weekly shop, food bank donation, a new mattress topper, various medications / health stuff and wild bird food. No other big spends planned for a while, as we need to recover from last month's bumper spends on new glasses for OH and dental treatment for both of us. The Direct Debit bills have gone out, and I am hoping jor just normal weekly shops and the milk bill for the rest of the month. Fingers crossed for no unexpected bills! Actually thinking about it I need to rebook the boiler service which didn't happen last month, and there will be travel to a funeral to factor in as wellMade a big pot of chilli this afternoon, some of which we had with a jacket potato and HM coleslaw for dinner. There will be plenty for another meal.Grateful today for rain (I much prefer sunny and warm, but the garden needs it), having enough, and the dog's antics with his tennis ball making me laugh8

Evening Turtles. Well, having escaped for the last 2 years, we have just all tested positive for Covid!
One of my customers phoned to say he had a positive result so we all tested and lo and behold we were all positive. Unfortunately I have given it to my sister and probably my 88 yo Dad who has cold symptoms.
In other news today has been an NSD and I foresee another few in the immediate future as I can’t go out!
OH has the week off work anyway, but I will have to avoid my other 2 customers so not much work for me either. Better adjust the budgets!
Safe travels Mothernerd, hopefully there won’t be too many inebriated Welsh people after the football!11 -

Great news about DC @ldee2111 😃
Speedy recovery @firsview. My DS3 tested positive this morning too, so he's isolating in his bedroom. Unfortunately he has the stairs in his room, so both his brothers have to pass through to get to their bedrooms! Lots of mask wearing going on.
Another scorcher of a day here. Spent the morning sewing, then strimmed LOTS of grass this afternoon & dug over a raised bed. Pinned a girl into her prom dress after tea. NSD#2
Grateful for a tidier garden, another beautiful day, DS having mild symptomsUse it up, wear it out

All the best @mothernerd, and thanks!
Surprisingly nsd2 today. Used some free vouchers at the cinema to watch Doctor Strange (it's not great), then went to visit my former neighbour to see her new house and take a thank you gift for cat sitting.
This afternoon I mostly spent crafting. Made a leather offcuts bib necklace for a friend's 40th -the end result is smashing. Really pleased with it!Keep reading books!

Thrifty- do you also unpin these people you are pinning into prom dresses...??!! I have visions of people walking about very carefully so as not to dislodge a pin, or get pricked by one!

Morning
Yesterday was an NSD (no 3) as I didn't go out. Didn't do anything much really apart from tend my plants and cook.
Still eating sensibly although I do find it difficult not to give in and start snacking especially in the evening. I'm managing though because I just know if I have one biscuit I'll devour the whole packet and from there I'll go into a downward spiral. I think that's how I put on weight in the first place.
So, just of for a walk with Himself.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -
