Now looking to add ds2 as a secondary driver to car for the summer - in particular as I can't drive - what a joke of a cost. Not happy. I have run out of ideas for now, I guess I might have to put a black box in the car. Not great for me as I am a bit of a jumpy driver. The problems on has!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

6-12 weeks is a long time to lose that bit of independence @ditty1234 , I hope it is more like 6 than 12 for your own sanity. Or you might want to start thinking about a bus pass.S/G's headstone is done. It is not perfect, but for all the people who are going to go and visit it (probably only me), it is fine. Font styles have changed over the last 31 years since the last inhabitee of the plot was potted. .. it is close enough, and with the headstone jet washed, it probably just looks 'newer' odd rather than bubble writing and sequins. I think. I don't knowAt the end of the day the grave is marked with her name. That is what gravestones are for. Job done. If she does not like it, she can haunt me (please don't haunt me s/g!).Apart from that, nothing much was achieved today..., except documents delivered to the solicitor, but it was enough.Filled the car with petrol - just in case. Lost my NSD to a couple of mouldy onions ruining my plans - they just do not keep well in this weather, either sprouting, or mouldering.

The headstone project sounds interesting. And yes a letter is never just a letter - things changequite 'quickly' . I am sure you will haunted by a pad on the shoulder for caring.
I think I have managed a nds day today. Yay.

Today I am grateful for getting stuff done at work, for stuffing some elephants, for an easy tea, for very smooth journeys to and from work, for tech, for dc having an okay day.

Hi turtles
Yesterday was up and out early and crossed the border to the land where mothernerd is currently visiting. Joined friends at their village jubilee picnic, was nice to socialise but it was flippin cold and very rainyHelped out with making & delivering picnic boxes for some elderly residents. Bought a HM syrup tart for £1 which has gone in the freezer. Stayed at friends for tea. Apart from breakfast all meals were free!
Today I have been into the office. Did lots of work. Came home and did more work for my PT jobs.
Off for a quick walk then bedtime
Gratitudes - catching up with friends; confirmation of payment for some casual work; nice phone call with DD2

Evening Turtles. We still all have the lurgy here. Hope DS3 is ok Thrify, we all just have cold symptoms.
I am ashamed to say I left the house, very irresponsibly as I had an eBay parcel which needed posting today and there was no one else to go for me. I hung around outside the post office furtively until there was no one else in there and rushed in wearing a mask and drowned myself in hand sanitiser. I had already wiped the parcel down. They are behind screens wearing masks and gloves so it was as safe as it could be. I cannot believe that there is no requirement to isolate, I felt awful for doing it.
Went to my 1st customer who also tested positive so no harm there (was wearing full PPE) and then on to my Dads to test him and phone 119 for anti virals for him (he is 88 with dodgy kidneys). Couldn’t believe it when he tested negative, he has the same symptoms as the rest of us. He was most smug and said he was obviously tougher than us. Said I would be back tomorrow when no doubt he will test positive. Should have sent him to the post office for me!
Today I am grateful for my Dad testing negative and loving the drama, having one customer it was ok to go to and feeling well enough to carry on pretty much as normal.

@apple_muncher you did make me laugh!! Maybe I should charge extra to leave some pins in, to ward off amorous prom dates! The parents might be happy to slip me an extra fiver! 🤣
Our wedding anniversary today, we exchanged cards & decided to buy a joint present to go in the garden, when we see something we like. 24 years... Where does the time go?!
Inset day went well. All staff brought a dish & we had a barbecue at lunchtime, sitting on the benches overlooking the sea. Gorgeous weather! Unfortunately @3pm I felt a bit funny. There were 3 of us tidying a walk in cupboard, no windows, & I had my mask on (in case I carried DS3's germs, he's still got the same symptoms as yesterday @firsview). Suddenly felt nauseous & needed fresh air. Was told I'd gone white. Went to bed when I got home, felt a bit better after I'd had a nap.
Went for a 2.5 mile walk with DH, then we watched a programme on N3tfl1x. Feeling ok again now.
Grateful for our anniversary, a nice walk, barbecue at workUse it up, wear it out

Good morning
I’ve been up for about half an hour because the sun is awake and so is a noisy squeaky bird. It looks gorgeous.
Yesterday wasn’t a NSD because OH offered his brother and his wife lunch while they were in the area and they accepted ( normally they don’t) I don’t begrudge it but had to do a quick dash to the shops as I had nothing nice to offer as we’re both doing SW so no cake or biccies in.
Today won’t be either as we’ve a rare day off together and as my sister is off to we’re off to visit.
Tomorrow I’m back to work so I’m aiming not to spend until at least the weekend.
Anyway today I’m grateful for nice family, a lovely sunny day and a day off to give my feet a rest.
