Thinking of you & your family @DawnW.
DH & my elderly neighbour love sweet peas. Unfortunately the seed we'd got left over from last year hasn't sprouted, so will be too late now.
An overcast day. Very sore & achy from yesterday. Went for a walk after breakfast with DH. Rested 10 mins, then cut the grass for the first time this year. (More like a jungle in places) Weeded an area next to the front steps & sowed wildflower seeds. Weeded at the end of the shed too, ready to sow more wildflowers another day. Brother phoned, did 2 rows of crochet whilst waiting for a friend to come & cut DS3's hair.
Grateful for the aches easing slightly, the thought of new wildflowers, nearer grassy areasUse it up, wear it out

Recognising you've reached your limit is part of the much mentioned Pacing MN. The trick is to stop what you're doing before you do reach the limit rather than push on and over do things.I'm not sure when you're heading to Wales but like many across the forums I wish you an easy journey and no overthiking just go with the flow. You have been running on adrenaline for years and the time will come wen you've worn yourself out. Mentally and Physically. I know that from personal experience in the past and it's a bad idea impacting your health and wellbeing. You don't have to push yourself hard every day all that leads to is burnout. The world wont end if you take time to smell the roses or just be for a while.Less must do lists will help. You're making a real effort to manage and try to improve your physical and mental health but it's counter productive to keep filling the days with tasks and must do lists. Have days when you just live in the moment, don't tidy up up or clear dirty dishes after othere. That isn't your responsabilty.I'm plesed you've spoken to DS3 and Beloved about moving out with the Chinchillas. You need your space and they need to adapt to life in the real world.I hope the Spa helps and some time away from everyday life although at a funeral helps you make tough decisions about everyday life and give yourself less to do.You are the one pushing too hard on a daily basis at the expense of your healOnly you can change that. Going back to online orders a syou had at the bungalow means you aren't whizzing around the shops and pushing a shopping trolley over the bridge. Even ordering online for a while would help. The priorities are using the tools you are getting to helpy your physical and mental health that wont work if you keep overdoing and overthinkig everything.Clearing the bungalow and getting it ready for sale will mean no more taking bins out and then bringing them back in again. You can't be overdoing things at home while sorting the bungalow so it's important to concentrate on the bungalow. If DS3 and Beloved are happy to live in a tip leave them to it.Look after your bedroom and bit of the kitchen. If they move out they'll face a big learning curve and you picking up after tthem and unblocking sinks wont help them when they move. They'll soom learn ordering takeaways when they've used al the clean dishes can be expensive and often unhealthy.I'm not critical and know they have their difficulties but the more you do the less they're prepared for real life and part of Motherhood is preparing our children for life in the real world.Try to get more early nights to help recharge your batteries. using your bedroom as a place to rest rather than a workroom to write lists and plan ahead.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Pride quotes (with wisdom for all)
We are not what other people say we are. We are who we know ourselves to be and we are what we love (Laverne Cox)
Being yourself is never the wrong thing to do.
As we clear out debts, we clear our lives. Of things that tie us down, make us unhappy, look untidy, feel wrong and don't fit our lives any more. (Ninja Saving Cat, June Overhaul 2014).
Last month we talked about making changes in our environment to support us, particularly as we grow older and frail (relative term). Even if you've been fit and healthy when younger, you aren't immune to bits of your body wearing out or starting to falter. I'm not saying you'll all end up as old crocks but if your body has served you well, you need to give it some love and attention.
I've shifted gradually into having clothes that mostly just pull on or off. Now it's a deliberate choice. I do have a couple of shirts but they're usually worn as cover ups over t-shirts, an extra layer on sunny days or to dress up a t-shirt for evening wear (holiday/film club) and I don't do up the buttons. What I don't have is a specific wardrobe full of clothes for 'going out', 'dancing', or 'evening wear on holidays'. At the festive season I used to buy a sparkly top (just a few sparkles) or one in a bright colour to dress up my usual skirts or jumpers - and 6 months later I'd send it back to the charity shop because I never wore it.
I've never bought an outfit to go to a wedding, except for DS1's and then it was something I'd wanted for a long while but could never justify spending that sort of money on myself (full length linen dress, alternative top to make it look different and a loose cardigan jacket all in one of my favourite colours). Even then it eventually went to the charity shop after they made an appeal for clothes suitable for use as 'prom' dresses - because most parents don't have the money or have more sense than to spend a fortune on a reality show type dress. The wedding shoes DS2 picked out for me after vetoing my choice (baseball boots in a turquoise iridescent fabric) went to the cs nearly as soon as we got back. They got me through the day in relative comfort (two pairs in similar styles so I could swap if my feet swelled as the day went on) but took some effort, and my shoes should support me not the other way round.
So always choose comfort, don't save clothes for 'best' or 'special occasions' - plain simple well-chosen clothing can be dressed up with a necklace, pretty scarf or other 'added extra' (one of my 2 shirts is navy blue, semi see through - covers more than it shows - and has an all over paisley pattern with flashes of red and turquoise - and it was from a cs).
Nothing starts my day of quite like when I give inspirational messages to my friends.
May your day go fast, your socks match and your underwear not ride up your @$$.

Lovely day yesterday, and it was an NSD... Think I am aiming for an achievable 12 this month.
In the morning, I was at the seaside. The day after FIL's funeral. OH, BF and I went to the beach. BF and I took our shoes off and paddled, screaming at the cold! Then we sat on the beach a while, just watching the waves and the ships on the horizon. Suddenly, someone further up the beach cried out and pointed and we saw it - a seal swimming along! Magical!
We walked through the town back to the car, admiring the Jubilee wool toppers on all the bollards and the pillar box, and giggling at a mannequin of the Queen, sitting like a pink guy in the hardware shop window in a blonde wig.
On the way home, we stopped at Crowland Abbey. It's beautiful! A hotchpotch of 11th - 14th century stone standing on the site of the original wooden building from 716. Dissolved by Henry 8th, only part of the huge monastery still stands as a church. We saw the skull of Abbot Theodore, murdered in the 8th Century by Vikings!
Read my book at home and waited for our very excited cat to come back in - he was happy we were home!
Today's plan: I have a 40th birthday to go to next week, but limited money, so I have some craft materials and I'm going to have a go at making a leather necklace for her.Keep reading books!

Today I am grateful for dc being able to patch up a tricky friendship, for chatting with neighbours, for the washing machine not being broken, for drying weather meaning I got laundry outside and dh postcreted the fence post in place, for the difference that hoovering the rug makes underfoot, for hair dye (I tried 'washed up mermaid' turquoise, but dc didn't like it so I added 'hot pink' on top and now I'm pretty much purple), for finding a suitable notebook in the house for dc so we don't have to use about 2 hours going and finding one tomorrow.

I thought I was waking up to a beautiful, sunny day this morning but the reality was cold, rain and something that was just short of a gale. That put paid to my planned walk. So much for the weather forecast. So I spent the day doing housework till I got engrossed in watching the Midwich Cuckoos.
Oh well, at least I didn’t spend any money and it is supposed to be lovely tomorrow. Fingers crossed.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -

A hot & sunny day. Got organised & went to town. Returned jigsaws that my class had borrowed, back to the library, dropped sewing off & collected more, met a customer to advise on dress alterations, then picked mum up. Trawler a couple of CS's, got a lovely denim dress for myself & a couple of Big Yin in concert DVDs. Did my big monthly shop, some items missing from shelves, prices have all gone up again. Should be fairly stocked up though got the rest of the month. Got 4 reduced items of nightwear in Tosco, for just over £1 each, some of my summer nightwear from previous years is a big tight, so can replace them with these new ones. Took a while to put everything away once I'd got home. DS3 got a friend staying for a sleepover. Went & pinned another customer into her prom dress. Watched TV & did some crochet.
Grateful for fun with mum, a beautiful day, DS's friend coming over, after he let him down yesterdayUse it up, wear it out
