Glad you got out however briefly.
You are transforming your family's space - well done. I have to clean for an 1 hour and 40 mins for my friend to come over - and that was after DD had done some for at least 30 minutes...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Shame about the drizzle, but I'm glad you had some time to yourself. Sometimes it doesn't matter what we do with that time, just that it's ours to decide.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)

Ha no I've moved on to my sister's wardrobe now. That's 9 Xmas jumpers in a house she doesn't live in. She actually has a full wardrobe here 🤦♀️
Tbh an hour cleaning before someone comes sounds like heaven SH. The dust is so bad in sister room that my phone was covered in it.
Was extremely hyper yesterday so have gone out and bought a desk. €15 for a plain top and metal legs. Didn't realize how dirty it was until he put it in the car for me. There was even a lump of chewing gum stuck to the underside bleurgh.
Am now back to living hoarder life while I decide where everything goes. Yet again.
Fitbit arrived and is now frightening me with numbers.1 -
Typing this sitting at my brand new (to me) desk
I'm at the frustrating stage of all the house stuff where there is just so much stuff. I've emptied everywhere and now it all has to go somewhere. I'm clearing out my sister's room to use as a guest room. My aunt has been staying with us as her husband died last week (we weren't close but I feel for my aunt) and it's good for her not to be on her own too much.
I did however manage to clean Dad's room this morning. I have been looking around my own room completely empty headed wondering how I'm going to use everything and where to put it. It's likely the answer will be under the bed until a more workable option presents itself.
Update: exactly what I just did. Can see the floor again now.
Aims for this week:- Youtube ban for a week. My home page is getting spammy which is a sure sign that I am over watching. TV watching exception made for Grand Designs on Wednesday.
- Get to tip with rubbish. Exciting it ain't but emptying all the wardrobes has been rubbish generating.
- Finish clearing in sister's room.

It's Day 3 of Felix the Fitbit. It seems confused by the night shenanigans but apparently I do 5000 steps without even leaving the house. It's a long way from the days of 63000 steps but it's a start.
Day off to an awkward start with the funeral this morning. I don't have to go thankfully. From an mse perspective dying in Ireland isn't worth it just fyi. €7200 for the bare minimum.
I hate this time of year from a money perspective. Two November birthdays, Xmas and then another birthday in January.
Apparently though if my new job continues (and I've done the maths correctly) I will have enough spare to pay off cc2 in 6 months. That is without any spending money allocated. I keep thinking I've missed out numbers somewhere because how do I have that much spare? I haven't factored in any extras; there is supposed to be a COL grant this month and potentially a double payment in December. I don't know when the COL payment comes and the double payment is for long term recipients so I don't know if I'm eligible.

Have you had chance to get out and about too? I made myself go for a little walk today despite the wind. It does helpAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Your tidying pics are feeling really inspiring @WelshmansDaughter . I can't wait to sort out my own bedroom this weekend, although the decoration will take longer than that. Not sure I can take photos as the explosion of clothes in small boxes over the bay window area of my bedroom is probably too big to photo easily.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)
