I read an article on trauma recently which stated that just writing out what happened is immensely helpful - not analysing it, just recording what happened and what was felt. I wonder if that's a transferable concept? Perhaps just writing what comes into your head might have value, as it gets it out and onto paper.

That is the basis of the book I'm reading- it asks you to write for a certain length of time about your emotions relating to specific events. Its definitely interesting and moving me more towards where I want to be.

Spent all the money today. All the money. It is all stuff that has been on the list for a while. Socks without holes, bras that have more than one hook… I did buy 3 t shirts that weren't strictly necessary but seeing as they cost £4.20 they were probably the cheapest thing I got today. I also randomly decided to buy a portable washing machine because for some reason my brain could go to Sainsbugs and Arg0s but not the laundromat. And I have no clean clothes for work. And I had to buy milk and shoes. And to top it all off I remembered I have to buy my house insurance before the quote goes up. And sure enough it had gone up but by a tenner so not too bad. The only thing left on the list to buy really is my bike lock. And having thoroughly confused the girl in Evans (and myself) I have decided to do more research before I pay the money for a lock and then my bike insurance. It's a lot.

I think I will have to do overtime this week just so I can't buy anything.

Don't feel guilty for buying things that have been on the list for a while - and the tee shirts weren't exactly expensive, and will give you more leeway in your clothing choices.

I must have led a sheltered life as I wouldn't never have thought of a portable washing machine, but again, I can see the sense in getting one. Years ago I had to wash all our stuff by hand but m y parents gave me a spin dryer which was brilliant. These little machines can make a big difference.

This is my second portable washing machine, they are a bit of a faff but for what I would need them for (clean uniform etc) they work well.

I'm sitting on a wall reading diaries while I wait for my interview at 9. Mostly I'm tired and fed up. And it's cold. And I have what I think is a cold sore. In my innocence I went to ask for testing kits in pharmacies and it turns out they are very much not a thing. People order the kits online to be discreet 😲 I was mostly wanting to make sure it wasn't an acid related thing so I won't be paying £80. I bought plasters and that will have to do.

Seeing as they tried to get me to start today, I think it's safe to say they're (desperate) keen.
