Or a herbal tea? I have a cupboard full of flavours now that I've gone through the battle of the early morning cappuccino - it felt almost impossible to cut that out but I now prefer black filter coffee first thing. Cutting out all tea and cake is impressive, well done.

Making lists to help you is such a useful thing. You can park items when you are too shattered to wade in, but you know they aren't lost. I do hope you can find something less exhausting, though it might even then take a while to get to the point where you have enough energy to do the home jobs.

Sitting in my sister's garden waiting for them all to get up 🤣 Woke up at 4.10 so got up at 4.30 then was ready to go by 5.10! Hate days when I have to set an alarm because my brain does not shut off properly.

I can't really drink tea at all because the liquid makes my stomach churn so much. I've taken to drinking hot chocolate as the thicker texture seems to work better. For my stomach not my budget.

In a bit of limbo at the moment, putting things in place, waiting for answers, tabs open... I do need slow change so the pace is good but frustrating in some ways.

Maybe it's the lack of cake to soak up the tea 😉

I wonder if it's worth speaking to your GP about the digestion? It's causing you a fair amount of trouble. I know you can get thickening powders to make drinking easier for people who struggle with swallowing liquid, but whether that helps once it's been consumed, I don't know.

Meanwhile was today a day off?

Ha in a way stymied has hit the nail on the head. I don't eat enough so pouring thin liquid into my stomach has the churning effect. Don't currently eat more due to ASD issues. Vicious circle. Although apparently the c0sta hot chocolate I am currently drinking has 182 calories. Gotta get my calories from somewhere 🤣

Perhaps it's time for a Maccy D milkshake? I seem to remember they are thick enough to use as building blocks! You could make it a chocolate one if that works with the hot chocolate vibe?

What's your usual go to food when the ASD strikes?

Ha the mcD milkshakes are basically liquid icecream hence the thickness. Apparently the medium strawberry shake has 356 calories and 57g of sugar.

Currently my eating routine looks like this- toast, ham and fruit at breakfast. Sandwich with ham and spinach for lunch. Chicken nuggets, chips and vegetable for dinner. There is some variation depending on what is there but that is most days in the last three weeks. I'd like to add soup at some point- M and S do a nice chicken and greens one in the cafe.

I have been eating pretty much since I got home today. Not gonna lie, my bread consumption is through the roof. But tonight was designated a rest evening and that is what I have done. Am now drinking hot chocolate and contemplating another episode of Natalie Cassidy's caring show.

A doctor once advised me to try reducing my bread consumption because I needed an increase in proton pump inhibitors. It didn't cure it (possibly because I still have other wheat products) but it's significantly improved it. I eat rye crackers or oatcakes instead - yes, it's not easy but neither is waking up with acid reflux. Sometimes I literally woke up choking and it seems I had breathed in acid in my sleep, but that's not happened since I've been on the PPIs.

Of course, bread doesn't affect everyone this way, and in my case I still need some medication, but it may be worth considering what you've eaten when you get bad. I also found lunch time is the safest time if I'm going to have bread.

It's not my only villain - milk chocolate and sometimes coffee affect me too. I'm quite happy with dark chocolate as a substitute, but coffee would be a 'big, big ask'.

I generally consider it to be less about what I'm eating now, and more about the tension/emotional state that causes it. There are definitely foods that make it worse, especially when I'm in the stage you describe above.

Eldest nephew tells me he is now married to a girl at nursery and a girl from the playground. He is already more advanced at relationships than me. However advanced my language skills are, I don't think they are up to explaining polyamory to a five year old.

I am still in flux regarding my next steps. I plan to take a more incremental approach as, well I have no other option. I keep getting overloaded, my sleep is still poor and I need to get more rested before trying to extract any information from my poor head.
