Interesting insight into one of my behaviour patterns. Not wanting to 'feel finished' as it stops me from doing anything so I do bits of multiple different tasks.

Something else I have observed- having a spatial memory i.e. remembering things when I encounter their location. Annoying as hell when I'm at work and the van is at the bottom of the road but never mind. I'm looking up strategies for that.

I'm also reading The Plan for language to help me determine what I am actually doing.

Was very tired yesterday and wound up just sitting on the sofa at my sister's. The amount of pasta/simple carbs I ate may have contributed though. Too many early starts and sleeping on the chair bed. They have got a bed now that will go in once the room work upstairs is finished.

I'm working on getting an online micro task job at the moment. I've tried one before and was defeated by it so I'm taking my time in the hopes that this one will be an income stream. Unsure of longevity though.

Still looking at childcare- it turns out childminder has a legal definition in Scotland which means I need to register as something else.

Someone at work today said (in context) they were surprised I came back from my holidays because I was always moaning about the job. Took it a bit hard but then- there is a lot to bloody moan about. I do think I need to watch that though. Sometimes I do think I'm just making conversation.

Yes I complained to a neighbour about our rent increase, thinking it was just in conversation.(I find her quite difficult to talk to) She started telling me about where I could get help……

I remember you commenting to me that I didn't like the job I was doing, and I was surprised because I thought I loved it! However, what you picked up was how things were actually going, whereas I was still on my old script…

Cheers to the Malbec in the mug.

Sainsbury's are selling wisteria plants for £22. Part of me applauds the genius capitalising on a certain TV show. The rest just thinks pure madness.

I've been thinking this week about the things I like in this job funnily enough. The problem is day to day stuff over influencing my decisions and the pendulum swinging back and forth.

Work are doing an exercise at the moment where they are basically asking if you want to go full time or move offices 🤣 Absolutely zero effort to accommodate people who might prefer part time or flexible working.

This trend towards full timing is a 'thing' elsewhere too - it feels as though management want to get the most out of existing staff without the overheads of more, but part time, staff. To me, it's short-sighted. It reduces the talent pool, increases stress and means that management can't see if there's anyone willing to put in a few extra hours to cover staffing crises.

I've noticed that Cherry, when I have been looking. They seem to want people to be available 24/7.

I very nearly was drinking it out of a straw INOD 🤣 Couldn't get the lid off my drinking glass though.

Yeah I sometimes think I'm just commenting on something Liselle, but it's taken completely wrong.

Today's random thoughts were mostly just random. I did discover that I cannot get through the work day without going to a coffee shop. Although that may have been due to tiredness in part. A good part of my mind was genuinely occupied with figuring out how I was getting my cake and tea when I was off delivering parcels in an area more known for kebabs than cake.

Interestingly, this is the area I actually live in. Sometimes I wonder if this is a good thing- I imagine I would get f**k all done and be completely broke if I lived in a more bougie area.

So I have randomly ordered a ceramic travel flask. Although I suppose it is more that I have been thinking about buying one for over a year and have just bitten the bullet. The ceramic travel cups I got from charity shops didn't really work as they didn't hold the heat long enough. Some sort of cake solution to be found next. Although part of me thinks it is the experience I like rather than just the tea and cake.

I did go to sainsbugs and £20 was spent. This should be breakfast and lunch until Wednesday- I need to go to L1dl for ready meals to have in the evening, that seemed to work well. I would like to find good steam bags for veg as well.

Currently in bed with my laptop looking up a variety of things. I've updated my profile on a child care website, activated new 0% card, did some zettelkasten research and looked into buying my tricycle (for the 900th time).
