This is why I always have the same breakfast each morning - saves thinking about it. To take it a step further, clothes can be chosen and set out in advance, but that requires planning and actually several steps, like having the right items available, checking the weather and no last minute hitches. Effort, but when it comes to the morning, at least I don't have to work too much out.
May you have joy of the books (and I hope you get a satisfying mug).

Ha the mug ( a plain white one) was the cheapest item at 99p. Oxfam prices are not for the faint hearted.
I have successfully cooked bacon in the flat. This would be part of my routine breakfast but I am trying to change that at the moment. I'm thinking to reverse it so that I come home to a meal like toast and bacon or eggs which is easier to cook. And to eat more nutrient dense food earlier in the day when it's not such a struggle.
Thought I might have an excuse to avoid voting as I was late leaving the sisters house but sadly the polling station was open until 10. So I had to get off the bus down the hill instead of right down the end of my road. The things we do for civic duty. Or in my case, voting mostly to keep the nutters out.
Didn't manage a hair wash at sisters yesterday- got a quick shower but had both younger boys in the bathroom with me- a 2 and 1 year old can cause a surprising amount of havoc in a short space of time. I sometimes think it must be what the inside of my head looks like- a 2 and a 1 yr old trapped in a bathroom while the grown up tries to do something 🤣

Reeling from the disappointment of a tasteless apple crumble 🤣 I didn't think it was possible to make a bad crumble but apparently the local shop managed it. Although it may have been because I didn't eat at work today and so my 'treat' dinner has too much to live up to.
I may have to bribe myself to do my evening plans. It's only 16.45 and I could quite happily go to bed. I really want to go out in the garden so if getting a packet of crisps from the shop aids that...

I went to bed. Not for long, had a lie down for 15 mins with my weighted blanket then walked to the shop. I did try going out into the garden but needed to do physical stuff and couldn't manage it. Did discover that some of my potatoes have started coming up.
Inspired though so I went back to bed for a planning session. Not sure how much planning actually got done and may have bought a book and a shower connector

Sounds like an okay way to spend the day. Planning will percolate through your brain overnight and next thing you know it, you'll have ideas.

I always have ideas Cherry, it is retrieving them, ordering them and executing them that is the problem 🤣
Yesterday although frustrating was illuminating. Even though I was at my sister's the whole day (I mean the whole day, I got the first bus) I was still more mentally energetic. I even had enough combined energy left to go to l*dl on the way home.
Food for thought.

So what caused the mental energy?
If it's any help, I'm trialling not looking for which thing needs to be done most - doing any one thing helps break up the log jam.
May you have bounteous energy today and sleep well tonight with the knowledge that something got done.

Bounteous energy did not appear sadly. Quite the opposite in fact. Have been on the verge of tears all day. Not helped by a slightly critical colleague.
May is difficult. We are approaching the third anniversary of Dad's death and I am struggling. I do feel like it is more manageable/understandable but nonetheless frustrated at not being able to do things. Currently resting.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Sending hugs.

I have ups and downs. But I've been kind to myself the last couple of days and just spent the evening in bed when I get home, reading or watching the tube.
Having ready meals from my l*DL shop was really helpful this week. I think I'll do that again
Waiting on some decisions to crystallise but possibly best to wait for a less emotive season.
