Goal for today was not pass/fail but achieved nonetheless. I set out to remove the grass from what was lawn. I'm intending to plant it but it was full of tough grass, crocosmia and the world's smallest potatoes. I ran out of room in my compost pile so I dumped the turf on top of the weeds in the woodland bit as I have a flower mix I can throw on top.

I say woodland it is shaded and has an apple tree and viburnum. I like to think I can have a dream country cottage garden just in miniature.

£18 spent today on pasta bake and other carbs to fuel the digging 🤣 And I randomly fancied a coke because it was sunny and then stocked up on toilet paper and kitchen roll while I was there which is a feat of adulting for me. I have run out more than once since moving home.

Still not sure if anything will get planted as I may be seized up tomorrow (reminds me must take magnesium) and I'm off to sisters for nephew's birthday.

Not pass/fail, this is a hobby.

That sounds like a very productive day.

I get toilet paper and kitchen roll delivered. It's a specialist company and you can go online and change your order if you aren't ready for more or need it earlier than planned. I think the default is a generous box full about every six months. Saves me a lot of bulk carrying.

I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Possibly something for when I am not a delivery person myself Cherry. I used to get it subscribe and save from the big river site.

The planting curse has been broken and things have been put in the ground. And in seed trays. Have any of these things been done well? No. But they have been done which is the important thing.

£32.50 added back to the coffers from mystery shops. Unfortunately went a tad crazed shopping - I bought my nephew's books with a voucher but then lost the run of myself after I went to marks and Spencer to get the birthday boy clothes gift. Although the Lakeland shopping was worth it- I got dinosaur food cutters and middle nephew ate four brachiosaurus sandwiches for lunch 🤣 I used the leftover bread bits in 'french toast' by which I mean I poured an unhealthy amount of cream on top and mixed it with eggs and milk 🤦‍♂️

Somewhat tired now after bedtime drama but nephew got upset at the thought of me going home so I said I'd stay and play tomorrow.

I think I need to be more adventurous: brachiosaurus sandwiches make DGDs' hearts and stars sandwiches seem very tame.

Lakeland cookie cutters Cherry, dinosaurs and farm animals. Although the t rex could also be a squirrel 🤣

Ta for ants advice, she has now lost the patience to deal with them and is calling in the big guns.

Much fun had today discovering a new section of the local farm to take the boys to. Have a trail I was taking them on which was a nice loop with lots to see and water to throw rocks in 🤷 But was out with just the baby this morning and exploring elsewhere found a new section with different animals so that was fun.

Baby's party tomorrow marks the last day of holiday 😥 I am not exactly rested 🤣 but the time away has been good, clarifying. So hopefully can move on with plans now. Which can pretty much be summarised as work less, earn more.

'Work less, earn more' is an excellent plan 💷
