Debt and Caring

Sickness bugs and the like have their own brand of despicableness. As Pip wisely says, dramatic can also mean short lived. Yes, you have a lot to cope with and it feels worse when you are ill and really don't have it in you to go out and buy then fit a new toilet seat.
There is definitely a pattern to it: RoSPA makes interesting reading (once you feel up to it) on when accidents are most likely to happen. And with your background in social care, you probably remember just as I do that stuff starts happening on a Friday evening after the bosses have gone for the weekend. The further from management presence and shops being open, the more likely it is for things to happen that we, the front line troops, then have to cope with. It's to do with getting tired losing our edge as a consequence, I think.
I hope you get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling better.

Thanks peeps. Still off sick. I'm sure it will surprise no one that I am a terrible patient. I tried to go do my washing yesterday (in my defence I had no clean clothes and thought I was going back to work), stayed up all day watching TV with no naps and then ate fish and chips. I think I confused being quite energetic mentally with being physically well.
So many naps were had today, I've googled what to eat after food poisoning and did a food order that mostly consisted of bland food.
I think I really resent being home with no ability to do anything.
On a positive note I did have a successful 'bleed' of my emotions (don't ask me what they were I just know I got them out) and it is payday so I am no longer looting my savings.

Hope you feel brighter tomorrow.
You have the ability to snooze and read and watch diy/money programmes thus getting knowledge and inspiration. All productive things that can be done from a nest
Happy payday 🍻

Food poisoning is nasty, what you were doing was giving yourself recovery time. I hope things pick up now. Payday is a fresh start, and at least you have savings to raid.

Back at work. Made it through a whole day yesterday. Also managed to collect the free chair that my colleague sourced for me.
Mood is quite low but I'd imagine that is due to fatigue and the fact that I still can't eat a lot. Also probably the mindf**k of being felled by illness and therefore not able to do what I want.
Just today to get through then I am on holiday for three weeks. Hoping to use the time to make progress on something, anything 🤣

I am somewhat back on my feet, still looking askance at food as though it may leap off the plate and go for my neck. Braved Easter lunch yesterday as it was cooked by my BIL 🤣
Starting out my holiday with an interview for a part time job 🤷 Hopefully more PT jobs will come up that I can apply for as it does seem a bit quiet on that front. Plan is to spend some time setting myself up with a system for job hunting during this time off so that when I go back to work I'm not hampered by being too tired.
In the cafe with my fingers crossed hoping my lunch turns up before I have to go for the interview 🤣🤣🤣

Hope the interview goes well and you are successful 🤞🏼🤞🏼
