Debt and Caring

Another week of ups and downs. Had a very enjoyable day out with oldest nephew on Thursday which gave me a little energy boost today. Thankfully as the poll cards and council tax letters are going out and my legs did not want to climb all those stairs. I also received a piece of cake from a customer 🤷
Money wise I am pretty much tapped out. I'm choosing to see this in a positive light- as in I made it this far in the month and so I can learn from that.
Money/life lesson of the week for me? Thinking that I can always go and earn more money is partially why I don't have time/energy for doing the things I want to do.

Smelly, tired and sore. On a particularly intense job this week- the speed I have to go at is crazy.
The sluggish hormonal decline has begun. Devoured an entire packet of monster munch and was like what am I doing?!?! Then realised the date. My carb consumption is better than a calendar.
Money wise I am considering my options for an electric bike. I would have to obtain credit to get one but it would most likely work out cheaper than the bus (£95 for a month ticket). It would also save time. Buses here stop every 30 seconds, half the time you can see the next stop from the previous one 🤷
On a positive note, I managed a trip out to the faraway library to return books and collect a reservation. Maybe other people wouldn't get a £10 bus ticket (country bus) to go to the library and that's ok. I enjoyed it and got 8 books. And bonus points for managing to do something after work.

Randomly taken off the intense job and put on one with lots of stairs. I take back all my complaints about intensity.
The wind is howling outside and it has snowed/sleeted on and off all day. Unsurprisingly I am not motivated to go and do laundry or buy food. Not that I am ever motivated to do either of those things.
Stuff I want to do, low energy to do anything.

Your legs must have the muscle of a body builder's. Perhaps you should start a Youtube channel where people can follow you on your rounds? For some reason people pay to watch other people doing all sorts of stuff, and I would have thought a running commentary of reaching floor eight with parcels would get an audience. And then you throw in a sentence like 'I could just eat … tonight' and see who takes the bait.
I have no idea if this would work or even if it's allowed, but you have to have some reward for the enormous expenditure of energy.

Ha no muscle here I don't eat enough protein yet. So more endurance looking legs. More along the lines of a trail runner 🤦♂️
It is on the list of potential hobbies Cherry. I'm just trying to understand the difference between hobbies and projects at the moment. I'm working on how to integrate things into daily life.
Just got the Autistic Adults Toolkit with the last of my Spanish bank voucher (£15! Eye watering price when you think about how many of us struggle with employment). If anyone wants a read I'm happy to send once I'm finished.
Had a really enjoyable day yesterday with the two youngest nephews. It was my first time with them both but was prepared for it to be challenging. Bought a no spill bucket of bubbles which turned out to be the best 2.99 I could have spent as it was an enjoyable activity for them both.

And we're down. I know I said I wanted time off but honestly this was not how I wanted it. Spent all day yesterday vomiting, I must have eaten something bad at some point. Absolutely knackered now.
You know you're tired when you can't even watch YouTube.

poor you. Just make sure to take plenty of liquids. You don’t want a dehydration headache too

Oh no, many sympathies. Hopefully it'll pass quickly, things often do if they're dramatic. Rest up as much as you need

I'm (sadly) practiced at vomiting now- my approach yesterday was to drink juice so that it would taste nice coming back up 😂
On the bright side had a full body workout without even trying. Which maybe I need to do more of seeing as I sat on the toilet seat lid to have a mid vomit rest (as you do) and it cracked into pieces*. So now I have half a toilet lid. I also managed to drop a sock down the toilet. Which is quite frankly more reason to stop hand washing as if there wasn't enough already.
I really feel like things like this do not happen to other people.
A lot of ups and downs this month- I don't think I really have the language for what has been happening. Perhaps it is overwhelm filtering down again.

Those things definitely happen to the rest of us too, don't worry. Thank you for sharing so everyone else doesn't feel so alone 😁
Not surprised if you feel overwhelmed, you have a rather large amount of wheels spinning at the moment alongside a very physical job.
Everything feels worse when you're ill, focus on water and sleep and calories where you can take them, and reset when you're able to
