So far (since end of November) have managed with a fork, spoon and knife (came in a plastic container too), plate and microwave bowl. And a mug for tea of course. I also have two ceramic travel mugs. Recent additions (as in this week lol) have been a single induction hob and 20 cm frying pan.

I wasn't kidding when I said I was taking it slowly. My strategy so far has been to wait to buy things until I notice their absence.

This evening I did two hours of overtime after working the rest of the day on a new postal route. The guy I was working with is nice but speedy. At one point I thought he had disapparated. Was feeling quite slow until he mentioned that he had been a postie since 1996!

Enjoyed a steak tonight (okay two) as I now have the means to cook them.

Went to the sea this morning for sunrise only to encounter stormy weather. The wind was ferocious but I got to enjoy watching the sky..

    And more Pret 😉

What goes up must come down...

Another day and too much work. It gets so demoralising. Every day is just too much to do and no plan for ever changing except the posties have to move faster. There is such a danger of getting stuck there because I'm too tired to figure anything else out.

On a brighter note, I don't think I've ever worked with nicer people. I was leaving tonight and my colleague gave me a piece of carrot cake. I have been thinking about carrot cake all week. It was so nice.

Nice colleagues are worth their weight in gold (or carrot cake).

    They are indeed.

I have bought a heater. 59.99 to be delivered tomorrow. As much as I like my oil fired radiator it does tend to heat mostly above itself and nowhere else. I got an electric stove similar to one we have in Dublin. Mostly for heat but also aesthetics. I think I will sell the bioethanol one if I can. I'm not a fan of the smell.

I am aiming to make the flat as liveable as I can. Once I decide what liveable looks like for me that is.

The oil filled ones are also heavy to carry…

Glad you have bought a heater

Heater that heats is definitely a worthwhile expenditure

It's great that you've found one that not only heats, but that you like to look of.

Heater has arrived and is making itself known. Tiny but mighty.

Spent the day feeling the after effects of a binge yesterday. Ate a massive dinner followed by crisps and two slices of cheesecake. Awake on and off all night 🤦‍♂️ I'd imagine the period monster ate half of it 🤣🤣🤣

Quite sleepy now but trying to think about what to get done tomorrow. I have revised my how to do a project notes and it has helped.
