  • The results of two asda trips:
    1. Iron liquid, dioralyte and frozen potato stars.
    2. Canned grapefruit, vanilla icing, madeira cake, lemon cheesecake, mango (ys).

Today was a day that ran an entire feelings wheel. I knew in advance that I would be zonked. I worked the day before so standard. I even had a mini plan about watching videos and having a nap.
There are things that I want to do. And it is incredibly frustrating having such a chaotic mind purely because of external factors. Part of it is also me being impatient. And not being in my own place and having other commitments. It does sometimes feel like I could get ahead of I could just stay in one place and not do anything but think.
Hopefully i can sleep tonight and will wake up with more of a planning head.
  • The payday mystery has resolved. Number 2 payslip was correct and I have been paid a higher amount than I anticipated.
I have spent 49.99 on a gym pass. It gives me access to several different places (although I will likely only use two) and I have been for a swim this evening. I am quietly pleased with myself for going. I did have to do some mental work to get myself out. It worked out well and the swimming pool had heated recliners so I am a happy camper.
I am learning matched betting to hopefully give me an extra income stream that I can do from home. It is a peculiar choice on my part as probability doesn’t exist in my realm. But I shall enjoy challenging myself.
Went to Mand S on the way home and very nearly bought a salad. Wonders will never cease. However it had been put on the wrong shelf and what I thought was 4.25 was in fact 5.75. As it was a caesar salad I objected to this on the grounds that it is 70% lettuce.
I did however spend 5.99 on a gardening magazine which shows where my priorities lie.

That's great about the pay, and the gym pass is a good investment too (as is the gardening magazine). The heated recliners alone make it worthwhile! :D

  • Standards chez moi are dropping dangerously low. I have just picked a fly out of my wine so I could drink it.
Old joke- Englishman, irishman and welshman order a pint. A fly lands in it. Englishman shouts that’s disgusting and throws it away. Irishman hesitates but does the same. Welshman grabs the fly and screams spit it out, spit it out.
    Still laugh at that one.

I am recovering from a meltdown last week which has left me somewhat debilitated. I’m having trouble sleeping and am quite spacy. I have the election count tomorrow so at least I will have something to do while not sleeping.
I’m thinking about going home to Dublin for a week or so. Im also thinking about quitting the care job.

I thought you’d already quit the care job now you have more hours at the cleaning job?

Lovely joke 😁 Nothing wrong with picking a fly out of your wine to drink it at all! It's in alcohol, couldn't be more hygienic.

Sorry you've been feeling rough. There's been a lot of change and uncertainty in the last year and a bit, and that's not a very long time at all. Please give yourself credit and kindness for all you've been through and achieved.

Will it leave you dangerously short of money to go home to Dublin for a week? If not and you feel it'll do you good then go for it (making sure to make arrangements with cleaning job first!)
See how you feel when you get back about care job. Don't burn any bridges if it's a useful source of money and you can choose shifts that suit you better, but if it's a significant factor in mental unwellness then it can get in the bin

Election count sounds fun, but then I am quite geeky about things like that. Let us know how it goes!

The election counts are strange beasts PiP. It started at 9pm and we were released at 5.55am. I would estimate that we were doing nothing at all for at least three hours in total with all the accumulated delays. I did find it interesting though, I hadn’t realised it was so long since I had been involved in such things. And it was fun watching the candidates wandering around, it was like a live action Jilly Cooper novel.
And it was daytime by the time I cycled home. Clouds and silver linings.
Joke from a ballot paper- what do you give an injured lemon?
    Lemon aid.

I will be going to Dublin in part because Heavy has been released from hospital and will be on his own while Teacup is in Scotland.
Really though it is an ASD thing. I am feeling very stuck in my current pattern of behaviour and very much in need of escaping.

Job wise, the support work is a relief job so I book as and when. I’ve decided not to book any shifts this month to allow myself some perspective. I find that not wanting to go there translates to not wanting to work at all in my head.

Cleaning job hasn’t started yet. It is school based so part year. It will cover my basic expenses only. I am looking at anti budgeting to help me organise my finances.

Financially I am in a hole for the next month or so. I am quite struggling still just trying to get a life together that makes sense to me. It takes time.
