I hope you get some money through soon! Has your brother been living off takeaways?

  • I suspect so Cherry. Hence the annoyance as she had just complained that her credit card was full of takeaway charges 🤦 The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing with that one.
It is especially annoying as he is sick so pretty sure he shouldn’t be on the takeaway diet.
Tax refund came through this morning SH so I have a small buffer.
I am up making second breakfast of mascarpone pancakes. I am quite enjoying myself.

Yay for the small tax refund.
    Mascarpone pancakes sound great!
I love nut butter cookies too

  • These ones are great DIA, they only have peanut butter, sugar and egg. I do add chocolate chips.
Strange ASD problems- I like eating the fancy pancakes but I hate waiting while they cook. And whisking egg whites is for the birds man.
Have spent the morning walking the dog and cleaning out my mother’s kitchen. Every time I come home I end up cleaning out the expired stuff and it reminds me how much I hate cupboards. Although to be fair one entire cupboard was my herbal tea which has jow been binned.
  • Out of bed bright and early this morning. Possibly due to the large pizza I ate yesterday evening. My travels included taking the dog for a walk in the mountains and then traveling to a random library for a book. Am so glad I did as I started it last night and it was exactly what I didn’t know I needed.
Filled bags with garden waste until about 8 then thought to check opening hours for homebase. I hate driving around here during the day as it is constantly full of people so nipped out early. Turns out far too expensive for bark at 9.80 a bag and plants were of a similar price range. Luckily there is an aldi next door so went in and got 5 bags of bark at 3.99 each. Smaller bags too so handy for lifting.
I only wanted to spend around 25 euro. I’m hoping that will make it look nice enough to persuade teacup to buy some plants 😂
Dog walked after and found her way into the river which revived her a tad. Hot at 9am was a surprise.
Revived self with leftover pizza, pb cookie and a pear. And been in the garden since. Sweating so did a minor strip so as to only be wearing one shirt.

Spent almost all of yesterday in the garden. I did have some small helpers in the form of the kids I used to babysit. The eldest boy’s enthusiasm meant the worst has now been tackled.
Woke up confused about why I was awake at dark o’clock and eventually realised I had pain.
Between that and the muscle ache from gardening I am dedicating this morning to bed.

I hope the pain sorts itself out soon. Have you tried Epsom salts in a bath for aches? I found it generally makes a difference.

Great to have the worst of the garden work out of the way. :)

Pain that wakes you up is the pits. I hope you had a relaxing morning.
I second the power of Epsom salts

  • I do like epsom salts in a bath. However in teacup’s house the bath is ginormous and takes an age to fill. It also requires cleaning first. As does pretty much everything in this house. Teacup has complimented the garden work but not the three tidied cupboards 🤦
I took a nap which didn’t involve sleeping but did involve a relaxed brain. It was very hard to get up.
I have somewhat revived but only to the point where I can do the first step in any given thing.
    - bookmarked two jobs to apply for
    - looked at recipes in the whole30 book
    - ate dinner (Teacup cooked)

May try go for a walk now
