I am also struggling to get a life together that makes sense to me....
What anti budgeting are you planning? If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I hadn't realised he's been in hospital, hope things go okay and it's a break of sorts for you.
Why had it never occurred to me to put a joke on a ballot paper? I must think up something for next time and cheer the evening for someone.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It may be counted Cherry as a vote as long as there is a clear x in the box as well as a joke.
People do go to some effort to spoil their votes. Giant cross on the paper and the name corbyn. The c word in each box.The anti budget is from the blog Afford Anything. You only have three categories. Bills, Save and Spend. The idea is that you decide how much you want to save rather than how much you want to spend.
He is regularly in hospital Cherry as his condition is lifelong.
A spontaneous day occurred. Sister was going to a shop beside the beach so I tagged along and stayed for a paddle and cup of tea. After I went to the flat and picked up my post, collected bits and pieces and sorted some of the garden. I’ve put a pic on olio in the vain hope that someone will fancy any of it.The rest of the time was spent making a ginormous compost heap more suited to a municipal park and discovering that my neighbour used to breed spiders and scorpions. Fascinating.
Sadly I also ordered food. Spontaneity is all well and good until you have done two hours of gardening and your stomach is empty.
This is especially annoying as none of my giant pile of unopened envelopes contained a cheque of any description. It did tell me my support job has increased pay by a whole 40p an hour. And apparently I have missed three council tax payments including one from the last financial year which I didn’t know I owed. So I have paid one after a minor panic and self flagellation episode. However as I keep telling myself, it takes time.2 -
Sorry about the missed bills. Well done for tackling them.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Spontaneous day sounds good: working in the garden almost always counts as 'good' to me and you have the mega compost heap to show for it too. I hope you get some joy from the Olio advert.
Paying off a third of the Council Tax arrears in one fell swoop is impressive. Probably a good idea to contact them in some way so they don't cause problems over the rest?

Sitting at the airport waiting for my flight. Some pangs at leaving the boys but mostly glad to be getting a break.Packed snacks as there is a two hour bus journey at the other end. Also packed a small lunch, am impressed with my forward planning.
Some drama this week as house invaded by flies. Sister Act was in a panic over their origin. This was a cunning plan on her part as her travels in and out of the house investigating meant she neatly avoided cleaning the kitchen. Muggins here did that 🤦
Being at a remove from my own life has been quite the eye opener. It gives me a visual reference for what happens when you do and don’t carry out certain activities. No progress on the money front. There may be some selling of stuff in Dublin if possible but we shall see. Mental rest is definitely needed.3 -
I hope you get your down-time. Safe journey.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I have definitely not got the hang of this being poor business. Arrived at the family home to find empty cupboards and a fridge with milk and out of date yoghurt. I did wonder why my aunt had texted to warn me there was no food in the house.
Got a bit ticked off at Teacup for leaving Heavy with no food and asked her for money to cover his shopping. Have been waiting all day for transfers to go through from my bank accounts. Nada but decided to go to lidl anyway. Craving guinness zero and ricotta pancakes 🤦
Sample debate with self- card might not work so leave toilet paper, buy cheaper squash but spend 6.99 on guinness.I may be in my overdraft but at least I have the ingredients for peanut butter cookies.
My mind is a strange place.2
