  • That's fantastic you went to the life drawing session, I am most impressed! Hope the bus didn't dawdle for too long
  • It came just after I pressed post comment 🤷

I am impressed with myself for going too. I did leave the house at 3 and it didn't start til 7 but well, that is just the process I have to follow for the moment.
I'm staying in my friend's flat for a few days and I have forgotten how nice it is to have things like heating. And a kitchen. She also has a bath which I have been taking advantage of.
It's made me think about changing my plans for my own place, now that I'm here I'm a bit less tense and have freed up some cognitive space. I took a test today which indicated low score for anxiety and depression but high for stress which was oddly reassuring.

You had and have a lot to cope with. Stress isn't surprising. I'm glad you're able to have a beak and lots of baths and heating! And company (though that can be tiring).

Well done on going to the class. Mine there is an opportunity to see others' work but most people are most concerned with their own. Sometimes though it can help as you can see something someone else did or colours they used that can give you ideas for your own work. I don't know if I could cope with live models though. We are a small group in a line in a science classroom so we can use the sinks!

  • As you can probably tell from the lack of posts, I am back at Sister Acts house. Inspired by sort your life out, she has embarked upon tidying in the house and putting systems in place.
I am the manual labour 🤣🤣🤣
Between that and the cold snotty Small One gave me, there has not been much mental room for anything else.
It's quite relaxing in a way, having a mini mental break from making decisions about my own life.

Are her systems good ones? :D

Hope you're over the cold soon. How is the baby?

  • Since I have booked my diagnosis the insights have been coming, well I won't say fast and furious, but in slow and meaningful ways. Anything that does not already have a pattern for it is much more difficult to do. But I am more motivated to do it, in part because I have been attending a meet up group where I can see the difficulties in 'real life' as it were.
I haven't discovered any real role models for autistic people- it seems like either crusaders or people with a higher level of support needs than my own.
Some small progress has been made money wise. As in I have been able to pay my bills again without feeling a horrible sense of being sucked into a vortex. I am up to date with most payments. Still no progress on employment. I did have another interview last week but it went horribly. Again.

Well done on keeping up to date with your money. It's good to celebrate what is going well and not just look at the things we wish would be better. Like Dawn says a lot of council's have a special department which deals with supported employment type opportunities. Could that be an option where you are?
