youngretired said:I spoke to Lloyd's today (after getting a 2nd decline text, both originally for switches on the 31/5). After an hour on hold the member of staff explained that Lloyd's system was automatically declining switches because of the Bank Holiday change, and so if your switch request was made before/over the weekend then this is why it's being declined (the fault has now been resolved so new requests should go through OK).
My sister was told this too yesterday when she called them, though both members of staff confirmed that we would be eligible for the switch incentive still (as they processed the switch for us on the phone).
Why switches that were happening on the 30/5 were OK, we don't know!
So if you know that there is no reason for your switch to be declined and don't wish to stay on hold a long time with Lloyd's, then you may wish to retry putting through a new switch request (note the switch won't happen now until 6/6 due to the Bank Holidays).
UPDATE - Lo and behold - a few hours later Lloyds have confirmed that the switch will complete!

I didn't realise you could switch with an expired debit card.
I requested a new card on an old Bank of Scotland account last week to switch with. I better wait for the new card now as it has probably been issued. Don't want a silly excuse for the switch to be declined.0 -
My Virgin money switch into my Lloyds has paid out today £1250

In error I put I hadn't got a TSB debit card. I do... but it has had a nil balance for some time.
Still got the switch bonus.0 -
People that have received their incentives, which date are your switches to complete? I know it says within 10 working days from switch start, but it would appear that they are paying it during the actual switch 7 days.
Has anyone also received it who only just switched a dormant account (with a balance) that had no SO/DD set up? Usually we would set up some dummy SO/payments but my brother-in-law switched a old 1st Direct where his secure key had died so he couldn't get into it (didn't want to fuss with getting digital).0 -
18 May - initiated the switch23 May - incentive paid26 May - switch completeThe donor account was a Halifax current account with no SOs or DDs, zero balance and expired debit card.2

My switch date is tomorrow and I've not had the bonus yet.. hopefully there's not going to be an issue as other people on here seem to be getting their incentive in advance of their switch date?0
