Does anyone know which soft credit card bank accounts are acceptable to switch from?0

You can switch from any bank account that supports CASS, the Current Account Switching Service.heleng9 said:Does anyone know which soft credit card bank accounts are acceptable to switch from?
The only ones I know of which perform a soft credit search only are Monzo and Starling.2 -
Creating a second current account with your existing bank doesn't normally may not perform a hard search (e.g if with Lloyds or Halifax).EarthBoy said:

Data points, hard searches for additional current accounts are performed by HSBC, TSB and Metro, but not by Lloyds and Halifax (and I'd assume BOS). The latter are the exception rather than the norm.k_man said:Creating a second current account with your existing bank doesn't normally perform a hard search.0 -
I stand corrected.trient said:

I also now realise that a second (donor) account with Lloyds is no help in this case!k_man said:

Please can anyone confirm that he/she received the incentive in the case of switching a donor account into an existing Club Lloyds account, on which same Club Lloyds account an incentive had been paid , prior to April 2020 (the cut off date)
This will provide reassurance to many MSErs (like me) thinking of switching in such circumstances

There's no reason why the incentive won't be paid in these circumstances (as long as you use the official switching service and switch in a non-Lloyd's current account) as it adheres to the terms and conditions of the offer. That said, I've taken a screenshot of the T's and C's in case of any 'issues' with them not paying, to support a complaint in those circumstances.keiran said:Please can anyone confirm that he/she received the incentive in the case of switching a donor account into an existing Club Lloyds account, on which same Club Lloyds account an incentive had been paid , prior to April 2020 (the cut off date)

It'll be interesting to see when the incentive is paid as if I recall correctly I've had previous Halifax/Lloyds incentives paid in advance of the actual switch date. I've noticed with this one it says it'll be paid within 10 working days of starting the switch.1 -
Just had a text from Llyods myself stating my switch 'couldn't be completed' and to phone them up, from a First Direct account
Very peculiar! I'll have to ring them after work today to find out what is going on there0 -
I applied to switch from HSBC to Lloyds but have received a text to say it can't be progressed and giving me a Lloyds number to call. This was only for Halifax or BoS customers with no other option, so phoned the main number and was given a waiting time (eventually) of 40 mins. Then tried HSBC via chat - 2 hour wait for a human. HSBC branch are too busy - I need apparently to keep trying at different times as they are not making appointments! Anyone got any helpful hints please? Thanks
