From memory you needed to opt in for SMS alerts but I got one shortly after I filled in the online form, one a few days later confirming my switch date, and one on the day my switch completed.

When I phoned the other day, the chap seemed quite confused. He initially suggested it had been rejected, but then said it was all OK for Tuesday 7th June. I'm not convinced!0 -
Having read the T's & C's I'm not sure if they allow you to have 2 Club Lloyds accounts?
I see existing customers can get the bonus if they switch a non Lloyds account into an existing Lloyds account. I'm an existing customer but I'd prefer to have 2 Lloyds accounts to maximise future switching bonuses.
Can anyone confirm please. Apologies if I've missed something really obvious!
Thanks!0 -

You're only supposed to be allowed two CL accounts if the second one is joint. If you already have a CL account though you can downgrade it to a Classic account and then open a new CL account for the switch. After the switch you can downgrade the newly opened account and re-upgrade the original account if you want to keep things as they were
Unless I missed a nuance somewhere, there is no need for the downgrade/upgrade palaver?

Re-reading this, I agree actually. Easier to just switch into the existing CL account and open a second classic account for future switching

My switch completed last week, and tomorrow is the 10th working day since I started the switch process, but have still not received the incentive. If I still haven't had it tomorrow then I'll have to ring them and find out why. Since I know I've met all of their criteria I'm very much looking forward to their explanation/excuse..0

Just to follow up on my last post about not receiving the incentive - I called Lloyds and after checking my account they confirmed they should've paid the incentive, but hadn't. They couldn't give an explanation as to why I hadn't received it, but they've now manually credited my account. Strange all round, I assume some glitch in their system thought I hadn't met all their criteria as set out in their T + Cs.1

This will provide reassurance to many MSErs (like me) thinking of switching in such circumstances1
