A few changes to last week's plan. Monday's salad changed from pilchard or salmon to corned beef since there was a tin already open in the fridge. Then I used what was left to make corned beef, potato and onion pasties, two of which we had on Wednesday instead of scampi and two frozen. Friday's cod wasn't battered, instead we had it floured/crumbed and lightly cooked in butter.
Onwards to this week:
Sun (today) - Beef & veg casserole, steamed cabbage, mash (there's enough casserole to freeze for another day)
Mon - Salad, definitely pilchard!
Tue - Pasty, cabbage, mash
Wed - H/m basa fishcakes, peas, sweetcorn
Thu - BBQ pork steaks, chips
Fri - Would normally be cod but haven't yet decided as the price has gone up; Plan B is spag bol
Sat - Lamb tikka, plain boiled rice
I've baked a large white loaf this morning and have some wholemeal in the freezer as well as morning goods so we're OK for carbs. No baking needed either which is a good job since the oven isn't being used this week.

Oops, late to the party this week! Last night we weren't very hungry so settled for chicken salad wraps followed by ice cream and chocolate sauce. Anyway, this week's plan is:
Sun (today) - Beef casserole (from freezer, just to heat through), mash and cabbage
Mon - Butter chicken with rice for me, naans for DH
Tue - Pork steaks in BBQ sauce, jacket spuds, sweetcorn
Wed - H/m fish goujons, chips, peas
Thu - Chicken stir fry & noodles
Fri - Cod fillets
Sat - Seafood platter
Not much shopping needed this week other than tomatoes, fish and fresh veg - not cabbage, this last one has been never ending! I'll have the BM out since we need bread, both white and wholemeal, but otherwise no baking - it's too hot to have the oven on - so desserts will be something along the line of ice cream, jelly, fruit and yogurt or lemon cream cups.Be kind to others and to yourself too.4
