Meal plan for the coming week:
Sun - Gammon slices (from freezer), broccoli, potatoes
Mon - Salad with chopped ham & pork
Tue - Beef & mushroom stew (using some cooked beef chunks from freezer), mash
Wed - Cod cakes, chips, peas
Thu - Cornish pasty, carrots, mash
Fri - Possibly out for a meal, otherwise pot luck
Sat - Seafood platter & side salad
I need to bake a wholemeal loaf at the end of the week and very little (if any) shopping needed.Be kind to others and to yourself too.4 -

Its been a long time since I posted on the forum, came in for a mooch around for ideas and lo and behold here you are.
After dipping into some of your meal ideas I've come up with my own plan but not decided on all of the side dishes yet.
Thurs - Piri piri chicken, sweet potato wedges, sweetcorn and tomato salsa.
Fri - Teriyaki salmon, cauliflower rice, sweetcorn
Sat - Feta & tomato quiche, ? veg
Sun - Turkey steak in oyster sauce with stir-fry veg
Mon - Chickpea, carrot & coriander falafel, pitta & salad
Tues - Pork chop in a tomato & pepper sauce with pasta
Wed - Thai style prawns with brown rice & veg.
Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £113.016 -
F- freezer rake
S - peri peri chicken, salad, new potatoes
S - roast pork, veg, potatoes, gravy
M - pork & peppers in black bean sauce, rice
T - refried bean tacos
W- southern fried chicken, wedges, veg
T- Pasta with a chorizo, pesto and tomato sauce.

Small change to last week's plan - on Thursday the pasties stayed in the freezer and instead we used what was left from Tuesday's beef & mushroom casserole. I added some small dumplings to it to pad it out.
This week's plan:
Sun - Roast lamb (from freezer), potatoes, carrots, broad beans
Mon - Salad, either pilchard or pink salmon
Tue - Thai green chicken curry, plain boiled rice
Wed - Scampi with side salad
Thu - Egg & chips, curry sauce
Fri - Probably battered cod
Sat - Soup, sandwichBe kind to others and to yourself too.6 -
Back from a short break and ready to start meal planning again.

I've been a bit m.i.a. lately with regards to posting, but I do read.
My plans at the moment are very basic as I don't know if my stomach is going to be okay or not .... A few tweaks last week but used up all the fresh stuff so nothing wasted.
This week:
F- freezer rake
S - Spicy Indian lamb burgers Indian lamb burger recipe | Sainsbury`s Magazine (sainsburysmagazine.co.uk) , salad
S - HM hunter's chicken, various veg, baby spuds
M - Salmon in a bag, green veg, sweet potatoes
T - Takeaway for DS1's birthday
W- Yoghurt chicken curry, rice, naan
T- Sausage and veg pasta

Last week was a success in as much as I stuck to the plan - the feta and tomato quiche was surprisingly good probably because of the amount of basil in it; hopefully the other half will retain its flavour after being in the freezer for a couple of weeks.
Around here the herring season starts in June so I've got fingers crossed for tomorrow - On with this weeks plan =Thurs - Mezze = Lamb kofta, tzatziki, crudities, pitta and salad leaves sprinkled with pomegranate seeds & molasses
Fri - No herring yet maybe next week, instead its poached salmon with a creamy mustard sauce, new potatoes & peas
Sat - Puttanesca pasta
Sun - Chicken & chorizo jambalya
Mon - Grilled sausages, new potatoes & steamed leeks
Tues - Turkey & black bean chilli, rice & salsa
Wed - Fried liver & onions, sweetcorn, new pots.
Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £113.015 -
This weeks left over veg, except the spinach, will go into the macaroni cheese that I didn’t get round to making earlier.Then over the weekend I’ll make lentil and coconut curry with spinach and half a naan. There will be enough curry and naan to freeze for next week

Home yesterday after best part of a week away. Got a few things in a family food parcel and picked up some RTC bits and essentials on the way home. Bit out of sync so planned until Thursday for now.
Thurs - prawn, green bean and ginger noodles
Fri - cottage pie, green beans
Sat - chargrilled tuna steak, white bean mash, spinach
Sun - balsamic chicken thigh, red pepper and ciabatta traybake
Mon - chorizo and broccoli pasta
Tues - beans on toast
Wed - pork stroganoff (freezer), noodles, broccoli
Thurs - out for the day 🙃4
