  • Out a couple of days this week so not too much planning or shopping. Here’s the plan:

Sat - salmon, braised lentils, sugar snap peas
Sun - cheese and biscuits or pate (out for lunch)
Mon - spicy sesame mushroom spaghetti, broccoli
    Tues - beans on toast
Wed - beef stew (from freezer), crusty bread, broccoli
Thurs - egg on toast (out for lunch 😉)
Fri - chorizo, chickpea and spinach stew
Your spaghetti meal sounds lovely. Is it like an Asian fusion dish?
    I guess so, it’s Nigella’s:

I am using wholewheat spaghetti as it is half the price of spelt spaghetti 😉. It’s good cold the next day for lunch too 😋
    Thank you very much.

    This week's meal plan:

Sat (today) - Jalfrezi & naans, hm chocolate mousse
Sun - Braised lamb chops, mash, carrots, sprouts

The remainder of the week will be meals from the freezer.  Choices are chicken (or beef) stir fry, liver & onion casserole, fish pie, fishcakes & chips, sausage & mash or spag bol - nothing allocated to a specific day as it will all depend on time available as I have a few errands to run.

All freezer stocks of soup have been used up but I'll make a spicy carrot & lentil one for lunches.  Sausage rolls still not made  ;)  but it will happen this week!

Like joedenise, we don't have turkey at Xmas either.  It will be either leg of pork or beef and a gammon joint for NY.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.
