I think we have got into a bit of a pattern with our meal planning so I have used it for all of January to include stuff we have in.
It goes like this.
Sunday : gammon or chicken. Roast dinner. Veg prepped and soup made. (Leftover veg goes into soup)
Mon : leftover Sunday meat with salad and potato side. ( jackets, oven chips, spring onion mash, or new potatoes)
Tues: pasta or rice, so this could be tuna pasta, salmon and risotto, seafood pasta, bolognese.
Wed, pie or casserole or toad in the hole with veg.
Thursday: something spicy, chilli, fake nando's, curry, couscous and tagine.
Fri : fish, usually oven baked with oven chips and peas, but could be fishfinger sandwich or even egg chips and beans.
Sat : always have something a bit different on Saturdays, so it could be as simple as pizza, or biriani or home made chinese or sometimes a takeaway. Depends on if we have a brunch or not.

It's all been a bit disjointed this week - I can't get my head around what day it is, never mind what to have for dinner! In the event, we've had:
Sun - Roast beef dinner, broccoli, mash (planned)
Mon - Beef stew with lots of veggies in it
Tue - Fishcake, chips, peas (freezer trawl)
Wed - Beef jalfrezi - (another freezer trawl)
Thu (today) - Corned beef salad (now craving something vaguely healthy)
Fri - ??? Probably a fish-y meal
Tomorrow I'll sit down and do a proper meal plan for the coming week. Since I've a gammon joint and a small chicken to cook, they'll feature on their somewhere.Be kind to others and to yourself too.3 -
Hi all, would love to rejoin if possible. Completely fell off meal planning a couple of months ago and need to try and get back in to it now! I’m just doing easy/cheat meals at the moment as not feeling very good, but it’s still better than takeaways I suppose! My plan in my head so far isToday - sweet and sour chicken with noodles
Saturday- cheese & potatoes pie & beans
Sunday- fajitas and rice
Monday - sausage & mash with veg
Tuesay- wings & wedges with veg6 -
Still have some soup from the duck carcase, but will need to make some more in the week. Thinking carrot and coriander. And after the meat fest that was Christmas I feel in need of veggies and fish, so …
spanakopita and salad
tuna steak, peas and sweetcorn x2
pasta puttanesca x 2
Pasta with bolognese sauce from freezer
I’m out for brunch on at least one day so that’s probably just going to be soup and a roll that evening. I will need to buy some veg so I can’t do a no spend week but with any luck it should be a low spend one.
