I found this thread because @JingsMyBucket mentioned it in the Grocery challenge thread, hopefully it will help me keep on track. I’m trying to find the balance between reducing our grocery spend and making sure the kids are still eating well. Especially for my eldest DS who’s ADHD doesn’t benefit from lots of processed food, especially sugars.
This weeks plan is :
Monday - Tomato and Sweetcorn Pasta, Garlic Bread
Tuesday - Tomato Soup, Bread and Cheese
Wednesday - Quiche, New Potatoes, Salad
Thursday - Sweet and Sour Chicken, Egg Fried Rice
Friday - Lasagne, Garlic Bread
Saturday - Bacon and Egg
Sunday - Chicken Nuggets, Chips, Carrot, Cucumber, Peppers and DipI didn’t make the soup as my kids prefer the tinned one and I’m not making the quiche from scratch either and the chicken nuggets will be a 50/50 chance of being out of the freezer, depending on how tired I am by then.2025 Decluttering Campaign Mrs SD –The joy of decluttering 45.5/104⭐️

Ate everything apart from these two meals. The cavolo nero was used in a diff.meal, so will sub for sprouts now with Bourgignon.~Bourgignon, mash and cavolo nero~ Gobi Manchurian
I did finally make the Gobi Manchurian, but I wasn't over awed with it. Though I would. Most definitely have just airfried cauliflower again.
I've not had much of an appetite and so just eating when hungry. Trying my best to follow the plan. I've still got plenty of meals to choose from, so these will. Just carry over to next week if not eaten.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I was out more than I expected so still have the wherewithal for puttanesca. I’ll be out again for a main meal one day in the week so just 6 mains to find. This week’s soup will be leek and sweet potato.Pasta Puttanesca x 2
roast breast of lamb, roast potatoes, sweetcorn, baked leeks and carrots x2
if there is lamb left over then lamb spinach and mushroom risotto, if not then just mushroom risotto with whatever veg needs using up
Fresh sardines, spinach and carrots with hm remoulade sauce x2
desserts will mainly be fruit and kefir though there will probably be room in the oven for something else on my second (cold) roast lamb day, so will think about baking something (not sure what!).4
