Change of plan this week! DH has a 3 course meal at the golf club today so tonight's beef stew will now be tomorrow night's dinner! Not sure what's going to go this week as haven't really looked at the plan again yet but know that some things are coming from the freezer so it will be one of those to go!

Hello all, I've never hung out here before so apologies for coming on with a question - it seems like you guys know your cooking and I can't find an answer elsewhere so can anyonehelp please ......
I got a raw chicken and some brisket today. Some blood from the brisket got into the bag with the chicken so underneath of chicken is stained with the blood. I'm thinking this is ok still to cook and eat?
I'm thinking theres no worry about beef to chicken - more issue if it had been chicken to beef (or of course onto something already cooked) however both the beef and the chicken will be cooked tomorrow.
Does anyone think there is a health issue here?
Thanks and apologies if I should ask this on another thread.

I would have thought it would be fine once cooked to be eaten, I can’t be 100 percent but if if was me I would still eat it.Well Behaved women seldom make history

As you intend to cook both I cant see a problem at all @daisy_1571
If you think about it, some traditional stews mix meats, some even have chicken and beef together. Bound to mix blood there. Also think about stuffing, that's got pork in it and goes inside the chicken. That will also leak juices, not blood but same principle.

@daisy_1571. Just to confirm what others have said - it really isn’t a problem. People eat bloody (I.e. ‘rare’ or even ‘blue’) beef all the time. Chicken has to be cooked properly and you have to wash whatever surface raw chicken has touched, including your hands. Stop worrying and enjoy the festivities!6
