Last week's plan got amended a bit - we had Monday's tuna & mushroom in white wine sauce with a jacket potato instead of pasta (DH isn't a pasta lover) and last night's chicken korma changed to butter chicken.

    This week:

Mon - Salad with gammon slices
Tue - CB hash with dumplings
Wed - Scampi, side salad and savoury wedges
    Thu - Egg & chips
    Fri - Fishcakes, mushy peas
    Sat - Seafood platter
Sun - Beef in gravy, mash, veg

No soup making this week as there's a fair selection in the freezer.  There's fruit & jelly or rice pudding for afters, if needed/wanted.

I had next week all planned out, but have had to abandon it as I am going to have a friend stay while recovering from a major operation.  He’s going to be on a bland low fibre diet, so it’s pretty much soup, chicken and mashed potato or maybe fish and mashed potato or an omelette for a bit of excitement.  I think the puds will have to be jelly and custard/yogurt.

Like you bouicca21, this week's meal plan has gone to pot as DH has been under the weather and is not eating much.  Thank goodness for an ample stock of soup, fish, tinned fruit/jelly etc.  He doesn't know what he fancies to eat and I'm fast running out of ideas.   :(  I'll have to put my thinking cap on for next week.

Some time ago (I think it was back in October) somebody mentioned a biryani cooked in the microwave.  Please could I have the recipe.  I know there are recipes to be found on Google - but it's nice to have an MSE recommended one.

    This week's meal plan:

Today - Beef slices in gravy (from freezer), mash, sprouts and Yorkshires
Mon - Beef & pepper stir fry with black bean sauce, noodles
Tue - Mince beef & onion pie (hm), mash, swede
Wed - Chilli (from freezer) & jacket potato
Thu - Gammon (from freezer), egg, chips
Fri - Sea bass, peas & sweetcorn
Sat - Possibly soup & sandwich - tbc
Sun - Chicken casserole, mash, sprouts

This weekend I've made a white and a wholemeal loaf, so bread is sorted for the week.  Plenty of soup in the freezer - I think we'll be glad of that for lunches this week!  I've had the SC on today for a batch of savoury mince beef that will be the filling for the pies and tomorrow will make the pastry for them.  I'll make a custard tart at the same time to utilise the oven space.  Some gaps appearing in the freezer now so I'll soon be able to crack on with the Xmas preps.

Morning all.  We managed to deplete our stocks quite a bit over the last couple of weeks so meal planning didn't have to rely too heavily on what we already had.

M - Chicken Dhal with rice
T - Fish, mushy peas, mixed green veg
    W - Spaghetti Bolognese
T - More fish, mushy peas and mixed green veg
    F - Out
    S - Kimchi Fried Rice
