Hope you're feeling a bit better, K9sandFelines.
To Do list of pear crumble, soup (ham & veg) and bol sauce done as planned. The bol sauce has been padded out with odds and ends so should make 3 meals for 2, some tonight with pasta and the other 2 frozen to be had with jacket spuds/chips by way of a change. Or perhaps in a wrap. Already thinking about next week's plan and shouldn't need to go shopping.Be kind to others and to yourself too.2 -
Thanks ladies for the well wishes. I tried to quote, but my tablet doesn't like to do it, for some reason.
The flare up has died down, but unfortunately the symptoms are still lingering. Basically feeling sick after eating. So, I am going to have to return to a gluten free diet, as these were the symptoms I had a few years back when I first had to tweak my diet.
I'm normally OK just swapping out the bread and pasta. Occasionally I can't have oats. However, I'm weirdly OK with fake meats (which I don't have often) and wraps. It's very trial and error. The problem normally occurs because I am vegan also, most things have egg in.
So, I have done a meal plan now, which I'll post it incase it gives anybody inspiration of what to make. It's going to be hit and miss whether I actually want to eat it though.
Monday (as posted above) was BBQ tofu with ranch and vegetable rice.
Tuesday (as also posted above) stew and dumplings.
Wednesday : Leftover stew and dumplings
Thursday : Roasted veg pasta with basil pesto
Friday: Okonimiyaki with tonkatsu sauce (not sure if I fancy this now)
Saturday : Laksa or Lemongrass meatballs
Sunday: Jerk Lentils or Jerk Chickpea stewGC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Glad to hear things are improving K9s, hope you can see off the lingering symptoms fairly quickly.
i have been away so the cupboards are bare. I have enough stuff in the freezer to make a veggie risotto, and I’ve done a sort of meal plan but it’s subject to change depending on what I find in the shops in the way of fresh fruit and veg when I venture out later today. Plus I’m out to lunch on Wednesday so won’t be cooking. Still trying to work through what’s in the freezer, so will only be buying basics - fruit, veg, eggs, kefir, milk and cheese.
so …
veg risotto
sardines (fresh but frozen if you see what I mean) on toast with spinach and hm rémoulade sauce
spanakopita and salad
mediterranean veg lasagne
cauliflower cheese
rinse and repeat
Desserts will probably be fresh fruit and kefir though I suspect I will not be able to resist a clafoutis of some kind and I’m leaning towards attempting an apple strudel with some of the filo.

Only one change last week - Friday became chorizo and mushroom risotto so the lamb curry was last night. This week looks like:
Sun - slow roast pork shoulder, roast new potatoes and carrots, Savoy cabbage
Mon - hoisin pork stir fry, noodles
Tues - beans on toast
Wed - spicy root veg and lentil stew, pitta bread
Thurs - tuna steak with harissa potato stew, green veg
Fri - sausage and fennel seed pasta, broccoli3 -
There's been a couple of changes this week as I've not been well so DH needed things he could easily cook. So plan this week:
S - beef stew, mashed celeriac
M - butter chicken, rice
T - LO stew, mash
W - toad in the hole, potatoes, veg
T - Lamb chops, jacket potato, veg
F - fish pie, peas
S - kedgeree
Let's see if we can stick to it this week!

Aldi and Sainsburys were manic this morning and there were lots of empty shelves with the result that my meal plan has already had to change. Sainsburys did have coconuts though so my mediterranean veg lasagne has morphed in coconut and lentil curry, whilst my sardines have turned into keralan prawn and coconut stir fry. I’ll use the rest of the coconut with some dried fruit to make breakfast bars.3

Haven't done a meal plan yet for this week - feeling rather slothful, is it the dismal weather making me feel that way? - but today we're having roast beef and onion gravy, Yorkshires, mash, swede and carrots. Hm lemon cream cups for afters.Be kind to others and to yourself too.3
