Really surprised how empty places were today, we went to a very popular garden centre as I wanted to get a plant pot saucer to fill with water for the wildlife, really couldn't believe how empty it was, the restaurant was also very quiet.
Called into lidl to pick up some salad again it was very quiet

Thanks for the well wishes, worst symptom is tiredness so I’m not doing much 🙃4 -
I will carry Savoury lentils over and Jambalaya, as didn't make them due to eating leftovers.
I havent made a solid plan yet, but so far it has been :
Mon: Jackfruit 'tuna' pasta mayo
Tues:Sweet chilli and rice
Then something along the lines of:
Mayflower curry and chips
Coronation jackfruit and jacket potatoe
Vegan Jambalaya
Savoury lentils with mash/or cubed potatoes and carrots and greens beans
Kyiv, rice, corn and peas
Subject to change, according to what is in/what the weather is like 😏
Tonight will be hotdogs on rolls or Coronation jackfruit with jacket potato, as still haven't had that
DD2 is coming possibly Monday or Tuesday and wants Cajun Tofu and Cashew cheese broccoli pasta. So that will feature at some point.
I need to go away and plan another five meals.
So, I will be back....GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I made a plan and have changed it several times! Given the weather and general cba to cook hot meals I'm spending this morning making salady things for the fridge so its going to be cold plates and help yourself.
Stuffed focaccia - ham, cheese, olives, roast peppers. Baking now, smells delish
Tubbouleh - which we'll have tonight
Poached chicken breasts for slicing up
Hard boiled eggs
Tuna pasta salad
Spicy tex-mex type of rice salad with tin mixed beans, veggies etc
New potato salad
Humous
Usual salad leaves, toms, cuc etc.
Cheeses and oatcakes if really can't be bothered. Have some lovely tomatoes so practically a whole meal!
Lots of strawberries from the garden. Peaches, melon, apple and grapes too for snacks / sides.
No soup!4 -
Like most of you it's a salad / low fuss week this week:
M - Steak, salad, potatoes from the garden, coleslaw
T - Sweet and Sour Tofu (sauce is already made, just need to add tofu and veg)
W - Chicken and Leek Risotto (leftovers from the freezer)
Th - Sweet and Sour Tofu leftovers
F - Fake donner kebab with flatbread and salad
S - At my parents
Lunches are going to be picky plates of whatever we fancy and have a lot of fruit leftover in the fridge from the weekend. Oh and I made sure to stock up on some ice lollys for when all else fails!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20173 -
Not sure we'll be sticking to plan this week but meals will probably include:
Fish pie
boiled gammon (most of which will be sliced for cold cuts!)
Mushroom stroganoff
Spag bol
Fakeaway KFC
Keema curry
We're definitely having fish pie tonight as the fish is already in the fridge defrosted. The gammon will definitely be pressure cooked so we can have some with salads, new potatoes or with air fried chips.
Only ingredient I need to buy is a box of mushrooms for the stroganoff so that will probably be Wednesday night's dinner as it's the day I definitely need to go out!

It’s almost to hot to even think about food!Today- sandwich and salad and leftover “party food”
Tuesday- beans on toast within salad
Wednesday- slow cooked bacon hash
thursday- husbands birthday so he will pick
Friday- southern fried chicken and mash or rice
Saturday- feta pasta and veg
Sunday- sausage cassserole
Dont think I need to buy very much this week if we stick to the plan, just fruit and cucumber 🥒3 -

3. Thai takeaway
4. Jacket potatoes with cheese and beans
5. At my mum and dad's for dinner

@katkin I’ve been meaning to try making focaccia for ages and your post (and cancelled plans because of the heat) made me have a go today.I thought I’d totally messed it up - it was so wet I couldn’t handle it, more like a very stiff batter than a dough - but it’s actually very nice. It’s a bit thin but I quite like it like that.
What sort of cheese did you use to stuff yours? I’m going to copy you next time!2 -

It's the kind of thing you can put anything in though. Before I bake it I oil the top and sprinkle grated padano and salt flakes on it. You can decorate the top ie sliced olives, rosemary sprigs etc look pretty.
Cut in fingers it makes great vertical sandwiches! Though I do enjoy tearing huge chunks off it tooLeftovers are good toasted. It reminds me so much of being in Italy.
Hope you enjoyed yours and have fun making some nice stuffed ones!4
