Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but as lots of you are well versed in different cuisines here goes.
I love Turkish food, probably one of my favourites, when we go to a restaurant I always have hallim, which is very like halloumi, but its served with what I think is falafel, but it's as if its sliced and then coated in sesame seeds and then maybe fried? It's really crispy but absolutely delicious. I have tried to recreate it using soaked chickpeas, that I have whizzed together before cooking and adding spices but I just cant get it to the standard of the restaurant. I'm sure it's not just because someone has cooked for me.
Does anyone have any recipes please?2 -

Think I stuck to last week’s plan, seems ages ago.
I planned this week in two halves as had visitors for some of it so waited to see what needed eating before planning the rest of the week 🙃. So, from Saturday:
Sat - salmon, new potatoes, veg, cream cheese and pesto sauce
Sun - roast chicken garden salad (fab BBC Good Food recipe)
Mon - chicken, Parma ham and mushroom pasta with veg
Tues - chicken and Parma ham salad, new potatoes
Wed - tuna and broccoli pesto pasta
Thurs - cod with mornay sauce, new potatoes, broccoli
Fri - scampi, chips and peas
Should make it to the weekend with no further shopping 🤞2 -
Plan seems to have gone, Salads and roasted a gammon, will last 3 or 4 days.Do I need it or just want it.1
-
Tuna anchovy olive linguine
bbq pork and salad
keralan fish and coconut stir fry (bit of an experiment as original recipe calls for prawns and I’ll be using basa fillets) x 2
Fish and turlu turlu (recipe shamelessly pinched from earlier in this thread) x 2
