Had a reply from DVLA today, they’ve said that they’ve been advised by EPS that their ANPR log has been checked.Pointless to complain then because the parking company can just say “yes, we’ve checked”.1

Now complain to the ICO about the your release (sale) of personal data by the DVLA.
As for the complaint to your MP, point out that this is exactly why the UK Government prohibits the use of ANPR scameras in council and local authority car parks. It is not fit for use because it does not record parking time, only time on site, and the software used is open to abuse because it deliberately pairs first entry with second exit data, then discards everything in between.
To me this is no different to when UKPC doctored time stamps on their photo "evidence" to make it look like motorists had parked for longer than they really had.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3 -
Yep and you can back up your statement that this is a known flaw of ANPR (to default to first in, last out images in a 24 hour period) by linking to the BPA article on ANPR, which warns against exactly that and says human checks must be carried out BEFORE getting DVLA data. They won't have done.
It doesn't matter that EPS are IPC not BPA; you are only using the article to back up your point.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks both, I’d already attached both the ipc and BPA articles along with one from gov.I have now added the section about the government not permitting the use of anpr, thanks.1

"The only proof I have is a written witness statement that says that I was elsewhere at 21:00 in that vehicle."If you included the above in complaint to DVLA they are, at best, preferring to take the word of a ppc whose industry elicited numerous unsavoury comments made by the MPs in Parliament - over that of a member of the public who can produce evidence. At worst they are calling you an out-and-out liar.I would not take that lying (sic) down3

Update - The parking company are still trying to get me to pay. They’ve replied to the MP. He is willing to reply to them once I’ve gathered my thoughts.
They are claiming that their system is working fine and that my claim of double-dipping is a “common reason used by many motorists”.I’m sick to death of worrying about this.0 -

With the help of this Forum you really could win, but you have to stand firm first.
Edited to add-- The BPA code of practice will help you to a degree, as it refers to problems with two visits being counted as oneThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.3
