Hi
can anyone recommend a decent (but cheap) kitchen scale?
Thanks0 -
I don't know about cheap, as for bread making precision you really need a digital scale, but I've been using a £19.99 Hanson electronic scale from Argos for a couple of years now and it certainly does the job.0

It was £15 off last night then £10 this morning now back to £15. The discount must be linked to something...0

Can anyone verify for me that the beater part or 'Whisk' for want of a better word for it, inside the mixing bowl is VERY ill fitting and loose. The removeable part.
I just decided to wash it up (OH has been doing that till today) and I noticed that the fitting is very loose. not a snug fit and not even close to it. The flat of the socket is a good few mm away from the flat of the spindle.
anyone else?
Thanks.
Also, it don't 'arf burn if you grab the handle to pull out the bowl after cooking. This apears to be normal, not sure why but it seems to work OKEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

actually the mixture doesnt need to be that precise and digital scales are not a necessity.0 -
I'd read it a couple of times and simply took it as gospel as it sounded like it made sense, consistent measurements for consistent baking. Sorry if I mistakenly mislead anyone.0

I think you're right, particularly with the amount of liquid used, I've found it can be the difference between success and failure. It would be interesting the hear other views on this.0
