I got mine OK, but was surprised I never had to sign for it I even asked the driver.
I did track it so I knew it was on the way:

I think Amazon has made a big mistake droping Royal Mail.0 -
hello! I ordered this breadmaker too! AND it was delivered by that home delivery network...... I got home to find a card through the door saying 3 parcels over back gate...... my gate is at least 6 foot high and all my parcels were in my back garden... yeah, nice and safe maybe and not too bad if it was actually in an amazon box packed with tons of them inflated bags like they normally do, but it was just the breadmaker box in a parcel bag... surprised it did not damage it! the goon that normally delivers things with this company (have had him deliver other stuff than amazon stuff... i always find the parcel bags have holes in them normally like he peeps at what is inside.... very shifty he is! And he always tells me to sign my name and tells me what time it is to put in the box... then when i shut the door and look at the time, it is always about half hour later than he has told me!!! don't know what thats all about!! maybe he gets brownie points for delivering things early... or maybe he stops off somewhere to do something sly somewhere on his run and makes up his time on paper at his deliveries!!!! lol who knows! lolApril 2014: A CAR!!!!!! :j 60th Anniversary Edition of Playboy mag signed by Hugh Hefner/Family pass to Twinlakes Family Theme Park/Rio 2 Goodies/£15 Promod Voucher/Nivea Sensitive Prize pack/John Frieda Cosmetic bag and bits/Tickets to New Kids On The Block + Meet and Greet0

Also had a problem this week with HDNL, but resolved quite quick.
Expected my breadmaker on Tuesday.
Tracking showed it had reached local depot at Bristol on Monday night.
Didnt arrive Tuesday, tracking showed "Delayed out of depot", was not too concerned, assumed heavy amount of deliveries.
Wednesday never arrived, checked tracking Wednesday night and it stated "Delivered to Daventry depot".
So after being about 20 miles away at Bristol, it then goes back north and is about 120 miles away.
Eventually delivered Friday.:jBad Spellers of the world untie0 -

Mine was like that too, I did wonder the same thing at the time.I don't think they have dropped royal mail have they? i am waiting on a parcel from amazon still and it says on my account that it has been dispatched with royal mailRoyal Mail has lost a "critical" £8m contract to collect second class mail from online retailer Amazon.
The group blamed higher costs caused by their "failure to modernise operations" for the loss of business.
The blow comes as Royal Mail staff prepare to strike for the first time since 1996. They are demanding a better pay settlement than the 2.5% offered.
Earlier this year, the postal service was ditched by the Department for Work and Pensions in favour of UK Mail. Royal Mail will continue to make Amazon's first class deliveries in the UK.

But it looks like the customer will be taking up the extra cost."failure to modernise operations"
Like throwing it over a high fence, leaving by the bins or on the street.0 -
TBH my HDN driver is fab!
He knows when I am on the school run so tries to drop off any parcels before I leave in the morning or after my return.
Never had any problems at all so I personally think it is down to the individual driver.
Just been to Tesco (bedlam!) to get all my ingredients in so that when I get my "surprise" on Christmas morning I'm all set!Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Edit:
Amazon finally admitted mine has got lost, and are sending one FOC on express delivery, won't be here until the 27th, but better than not all!0
