Yes, it will "rest" for the first hour or so.

for the lazy ones out there, Asda have the 'Hovis' bread mixes on offer at the moment - normally 75p each, now 2 for £1, includes white, wholemeal and granary - I have used these in my non-panny machine and they are very good

p.s. if anyone notices amazon reducing the price of the panny again, please post on here or pm me, as I would love one of those and was too slow to get the £39.99 offer :(

Been reading this post and would like to buy one. Can anyone tell me are all Panasonic breadmakers good, or is it just some models? Thanks in advance..

Panasonic are the Rolls Royce of breadmakers, not cheap as some but they always give good results

In this instance you do get what you pay for

  • Hi,
I have received my breadmaker today, and the other day i saw in Morrisons these ready to go bread packets, so i bought 2.
However, there are no instructions on the back, it says to refer to the manual of your breadmaker. I cannot seem to find any instructions.

Does anyone know what settings etc, and how to use these 'ready made bread packets' please?
As you can tell, i have never used a breadmaker before! :o:o I am a bit 'frightened' of it after looking at that recipe book...LOL...looks scary..hehe

    Many Thanks

just treat your ready to go as if you had prepared the mixture for bread making yourself. if its a white mix use the white bread settings in your manual and if its brown use those. ..

for white set to 'basic' then option 'bake rapid' (about 2 hours) --- or 'bake' if you can wait 4 hours

Mine hasn't turned up, and the tracking status implies its been waiting at amazon for collection for the last 4 days....

Did the in-transit statuses get updated for anyone else that has had it delivered?
  • Just made my first loaf with Aldi Bread Mix (79p) just put the mix in the tin with a knob of margarine 160ml of water and 160ml of milk, set it to switch on in 6 hours and had a perfect loaf waiting for me this morning, best bread Ive tasted in ages.
  • Hi Lorian, i also tracked mine and it said it had been delivered, i had NO CARD to say it was here until my neighbour knocked on my door last night with it!

I was really annoyed that they didnt even leave a card as it could have been left with anyone as i dont even know these particular neighbours, they live opposite.

Anyway thanks OP and i cant wait to use it!

Just out of interest was this delivered by Home Delivery Network (HDNL)? My breadmaker was left by the dustbin!! They have delivered 3 other parcels in the last week, 2 were left with a neighbour who no-one speaks to and the third has still not turned up despite the website saying "delivered"!! I have logged a complaint with their customer services.

  • Home Delivery Network are really useless. Last night my tracking for Panasonic Breadmaker showed - customer moved - refused delivery at 5.50pm. I had been home since 5.10pm - no knock or anything no card! Flat upstairs have moved out. Have em-mailed Amazon three times since then but no joy yet. This is a Christmas pressy - someone will be so disappointed. At least 5 other deliveries from Amazon showing as delivered in last week but have received nothing. Anyone any ideas what I can do?
