Afternoon all, sitting outside McD’s so using their Wi-Fi! So sad but not unexpected news about the Queen, RIP gracious lady.
I pressure cooked a beef stew yesterday, there so much there we have LOs for dinner tonight! Have got some pork loins to cook for the next couple of days. Will probably do some of them as a sweet and sour rather than just frying or baking them, but will see what we fancy tomorrow.
Good luck everybody weighing over the next few days. Dread to think how much I’m putting on! Still it will all come off again once we home at the end of the month.

I agree @joedenise, sad but not unexpected news. I think it's great that she was able to carry out her duties until as recently as Tuesday. What an amazing life of service.
While I wouldn't want to eat there, McD's is really useful for a reasonably priced hot drink worldwide. I've had tea in Milan, hot chocolate in Hong Kong and coffee all over the place. 😁 They are still selling coffee for £1 here when other places are 3 or 4 times as much.
It's difficult to know how the period of mourning will be observed @Coxy11. I'm pleased to say that football is cancelled this weekend. It's heartening to know they have some standards above TV money.
Fridge is looking very empty so I need to do my meal plan and shop. I made good choices last night. Sea bream with new potatoes and prawn cocktail so just syns in dressing. I went easy on the wine too. 👍
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P)
L- ham, cold chicken, cottage cheese (P), small JP (F), cornichons, tomatoes, spring onion (S)
D- sausage casserole (P, F, S), pasta (F)
Syns - Aldi sausages 1, weekend wine 😁0 -
Do agree so unexpected - I keep seeing her smile greeting Liz Truss....less than 48 hours later, she has left us....bless her.
Well we have a lovely day here, and warm too.....last night the rain bounced down, neighbours garden shed roof partially collapsed and killed all their power, me I slept through it😃 they have only lived next door a few months and seem to have had so many problem.....considering the other neighbours were so house proud. Wondering what will go wrong next.

L Slice toast 2 poached eggs slice ham.
D chicken and king prawn chinese curry(SW) rice and mushroom and broc. SW chips maybe a few.

So very sad about our dear Queen 😥😥 it's hit me a lot harder than i thought it was, whether it's because im older and makes you think about these things more i don't know, whether it's because of Dad , i don't know , tbh i don't know what i feel apart from very sad 😥😥
Hope everyone else is ok?

Hope you enjoyed your tea just as much @bubbs. Must be a bit of a first for a Friday with no KFC! ☹️
I listened to King Charles earlier and felt quite emotional. First and foremost, he's lost his much loved mother but has to do all this public stuff.
You've done well on your plan for the week. 🤞for tomorrow. 😊0 -

Morning everyone,
So sorry @Vegastare, I missed congratulating you on your 2lb loss. That's amazing xx
Good to hear from you @joedenise - step away from the McD's apple pies!!
Sending hugs @beanielou xx
I'm off to WI for 9am but won't be staying today as it's my birthday today and we are meeting DSis, BIL, DMum, DS1 and his GF. We have plans to visit an antiques centre for a browse plus go for brunch/piece of cake etc. Out with friends this evening - DH's friends, as haven't heard from mine since the wedding last weekend.
We went to the cinema as planned last night and saw "See How They Run" which was very entertaining. It didn't start until 8.30pm so I nodded a few times though! I'm just not a night owl!
Can't really say much about food today - it will be whatever I fancy. But back on plan tomorrow.
Have a good day all

Morning all. Have been missing all week as going back to work has been a shock to the system! Loving the new job though.WI today and what a disaster. I have put on 4.2lb and OH 2lb. Have no idea why. We have both stuck to the plan and no syns uncounted. Maybe it is just a blip and next week we will lose again. I don’t feel the best, feel like I am getting a cold. Don’t know if that affects things? We had a lot of the same meals this week, would that affect things? Could be my star week (peri menopause so periods are a bit hit and miss) but that doesn’t explain OH. Feel a bit despondent but will keep going as I am sure it will work out in the end.An example of what I ate each day this week -
B- ff yogurt with defrosted frozen fruit
L - 2 alpen light bars
2 bananas
1 plum
plate of cucumber and tomato when I got home
D- chips, chicken and beaked beans with grated cheese on the beans
Syns - 2 hi fi bars and a packet of crisps (crisps were 6 syns)
Maybe not enough speed but I had the speed as a snack when I got home. The chips are Lidl free ones.
Good luck to everyone else with their WI today. Hope you are more successful than us 😂0
