    Morning everyone,

Sorry about the gain @beanielou but glad you enjoyed the extended birthday celebrations. You will soon get that off I'm sure xx
I couldn't eat more than one plum at a time @bubbs!!
Rain for us overnight too but not complaining. Think it's going to be heavy in London tomorrow when I'm planning on being in the office - nooo! Back to my substantive role this morning.

The minced beef hash was delicious and clean plates all round. Will definitely do that again.

    Food today:
B - banana, grapes, melon, blueberries - Free with some S
    L - cheese and ham omelette - P, HEA
    D - SW Mexican chicken - Free, some P, some S
    HEA - milk
    HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - none planned

We are at the cinema tonight watching a documentary. George Ezra walked End to End last year - Lands End to John O Groats - so I'm interested to see how he got on. In case you're wondering - we are back to painting on Wednesday and Thursday evenings - wouldn't want you to think we are slacking!!

    Have a good day all.

WFH today so trying to catch up with you all!  Was in the office yesterday and was totally exhausted last night! Obviously a combination of catching up with people I haven't seen, literally for years, all the walking (we've recently moved to new offices, all open plan think of a huge hangar and everything I need is at the opposite end of where I have a touch down spot).

Thanks for the steamer info @maman I think I'll look for an insert as I've no room for any more appliances.

The loss on Saturday is spurring me on this week, either that or I'm just too tired to think about food  Yesterday was almost a disaster as my friend suggested a sandwich and coffee from Starbucks, discovered as we were leaving the canteen had lentil soup so I detoured and got that - saved syns and money.

    Today's plan:
B - l/f Greek yoghurt, nectarines, mango and pineapple
L - veggie omelette, side salad
D - mince and potatoes, pea, carrots, cauliflower
Syns - none planned so far

    Have a good day everyone!

I'm sure your home is going to look amazing when it's all done eventually @Coxy11. Did you say carpets and/or sofas were coming later this month?🤔

Hope you don't get so tired today @Jellybaby but well done for dodging the visit to Starbucks. Aside from the syns, it was far more mse. 👍🏼 I was reading about a guy in the paper this morning who was buying 3 coffees and 2 boiled eggs from Pret every working day costing him £50  week!

How do you make your minced beef hash @Coxy11? My ham hash was particularly nice last night, probably because I used some bacon lardons as well as the diced (tinned) ham so it had more flavour. I was lucky to keep a small portion for lunch today.

I love savoury mince too @Jellybaby. I'll batch cook some when I have some freezer space. M&S have a similar steamer to mine
    Universal Stainless Steel Steamer | M&S Collection | M&S (marksandspencer.com)
but I'm sure there are plenty about. Mine has its own lid but any saucepan lid would work.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- LO ham hash (P,F,S), fried veg (S), probably fried egg (P)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), carrot chips, mushrooms, tomato, green beans, asparagus, roast cauliflower (S)
    Syns- 0

Hi everyone, just had a skim through!  Haven’t had any internet since day after we arrived. Three cut us off as said we’d used the allowed 12 gig abroad - no idea how - just seems impossible in 2 days!

@Jellybaby - I got my over pan steamer from IKEA - in fact it was a saucepan with 2 steamers.

Not much SW friendly food here of course!

Sorry previous post was a bit cut short as DH decided it was time for a walk into town.  So we had a bit of a wander but not much there, so many shops shut down, it’s mainly banks and cafes now, such a shame as used to be quite a nice town to wander around.  So we just stopped at a cafe for a drink.  On the way back we went to the beer museum.  Just an exhibition showing how beer making has evolved over the years.  Would of h been a bit more interesting if more of it had been translated into English but there was enough to be able to understand the bulk of it.  We got a free ticket with our parking ticket so a very cheap hour at €5 for both of us to visit.

We are travelling along the River Meuse for a few days at least, no idea how long for or where we’ll go after that!  We are currently at Stenay and tomorrow we are moving on to Dieue sur Meuse.

Think we probably got the rain a bit earlier than you @bubbs - thunder started just after 10 and the rain was probably 15 minutes or so later, was very heavy but not as bad as we had on Friday evening!

We are having a mixed bean goulash for dinner tonight so better go and make a start on that if we’re going to eat around 6 like we usually do.

Will check back in when we get some more free Wi-Fi!
