That's fine to shop regularly as you're not making a special trip @SingleSue. As your son goes to Morrisons regularly you might like to try these-
Morrisons The Best Salmon,Smoked Cod & Haddock Fishcakes With Cheddar Sauce | Morrisons
They are 2 syns each and, provided you like fishcakes, they're delicious. We have them with chips and lots of veg like broccoli, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Split peas don't need soaking @Jellybaby and the soup will be syn free if it's a standard recipe. I try to stick to the pulses, onion, leeks, carrots etc so that it's a SP lunch although I have added potato occasionally.

That's a wise move to save enough syns for eating out @room512. I've got a couple of meals coming up this week too but, like you, I'll be trying to make wise choices.

I went to Asda yesterday to fill up the car and called into the shop to buy cooking bacon bits. The Sainsbury's one has shot up in price (£3.79) but Asda is still excellent value at £1.50 per kg.  I chopped it into lardons and got 800g when fat was removed. I portioned it into 100g bags which are really useful for adding to anything that needs some bacon without opening a pack.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, strawberries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), LO goulash (P, S), cottage cheese (P)
D- JO roast pork (P, S), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😁

Mum said he never moaned like he did before, so that's a good sign and she said the doctors were lovely, didn't have to sit in A&E went straight into a room, he is having a CT scan this afternoon, she had gone home to get some pj's and that. They have said they think the tumour is bleeding, she said you have never seen anything like it  😥😥it was pouring as soon as she took the bag off .

She said 111 were useless and she went round next door and asked her to take her A&E which she did 👏 as she had rang one of my sisters and they didn't answer, (she was food shopping and didn't hear phone) She thinks i am too far but would only take me 20 mins to get there 🙄

Looks delicious @bubbs. Our pork was great too. I did nibble at a bit of crackling. Cook's perks. 😁
