Looks delicious @bubbs. Our pork was great too. I did nibble at a bit of crackling. Cook's perks. 😁
Thanks and it was even better with M&S beef for £1 😜

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the late posting. I was up at the crack of dawn to go to a boot fair. Managed to pick up some pottery that I collect for £2 and a couple of bits to resell on the bay of E. Then went food shopping to A!di, then had to drop DD back to her friend's house to collect her car. Went round BIL to get my present - a ginormous box of hotel chocolat Summer desserts!! I have had two so far - there are 36 in the box. ILs got me garden centre vouchers so I will enjoy spending them.

Food has been semi okay today:
B - hi fi bar and banana - 1/2 HEB
    L - poached egg on one WM toast - P, 1/2 HEB
    D - spag bol
    HEA - milk
    HEA - parmesan
    Syns - 2 hotel chocolats - 7 o.m.g.....only another 34 x 3.5 syns to go!!!

So sorry that your DDad is in hospital @bubbs. I hope they can stabilise the problem and that he's home with your DMum soon. Your food looks amazing as always - now really longing for a roast beef dinner.

    Have a good evening all
    Coxy

I thought maybe it would have been but didn't know if you went in your scooter, do you still use it?

That's fine to shop regularly as you're not making a special trip @SingleSue. As your son goes to Morrisons regularly you might like to try these-
Morrisons The Best Salmon,Smoked Cod & Haddock Fishcakes With Cheddar Sauce | Morrisons
They are 2 syns each and, provided you like fishcakes, they're delicious. We have them with chips and lots of veg like broccoli, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Split peas don't need soaking @Jellybaby and the soup will be syn free if it's a standard recipe. I try to stick to the pulses, onion, leeks, carrots etc so that it's a SP lunch although I have added potato occasionally.

That's a wise move to save enough syns for eating out @room512. I've got a couple of meals coming up this week too but, like you, I'll be trying to make wise choices.

I went to Asda yesterday to fill up the car and called into the shop to buy cooking bacon bits. The Sainsbury's one has shot up in price (£3.79) but Asda is still excellent value at £1.50 per kg.  I chopped it into lardons and got 800g when fat was removed. I portioned it into 100g bags which are really useful for adding to anything that needs some bacon without opening a pack.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, strawberries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), LO goulash (P, S), cottage cheese (P)
D- JO roast pork (P, S), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😁
The fishcakes sound lovely, I'd love them but not sure middle son would unfortunately.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
