Thanks for the responses to my questions about GF stuff and tomatoes. I'm going to try them. Not being sure about the roast peppers as a pizza base, I spoke to my GF/vege daughter who thinks it sounds interesting and will definitely eat it if I don't. So next time she's up that's on the menu.I looked at the Pinch of Nom cookbook over the weekend. There's a recipe for curry sauce (apologies for the tauology there!) which blitzes a load of veggies into a sauce. I do add things to smooth soups already to ring the changes (eg basic lentil but will add spinach or chicken or ham etc as 'lumps'). Maybe adding some soup to the 'lumps' instead of lumps to the soup, so to speak?!Anyway, I actually did a proper shop yesterday, so I have the basis for meals and now just need to plan them.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

IzzyBee said:I cannot face the scales I have really fallen off the wagon this weekend ice cream more than one apple pie and custard and just generally been a pig back on it today will weigh in next MondayIt may not be as bad as you think @IzzyBee Sometimes breaking the routine of a diet kick starts it again. Isn't that the thinking behind Intermittent Fasting as a weight loss technique?I think one of the good (and bad!) things about joining a physical slimming group is that you have to either go and get on the scales or waste money. I used to find I'd either only put on a lb or so or, by some miracle, STS. Maybe compromise? Get on the scales so you know the damage - if any - and don't tell us! That's probably what I'll be doing!A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

I’d gotten up to 11.25lb off (not sure if I posted that here last week or not) but today after my weekend away I’m up 2lb so 9.25lb off overall. Hoping that 2lb comes back off this week if I’m strict.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Good afternoon all. Congrats to all -,+ and sts, keep going, you've got this! 🥳
Reporting a 4lb loss this week 💃🏽
I've substituted pasta and rice by spiralizing courgette and carrot instead so it makes me feel like I'm not missing out. Obviously it doesn't taste the same lol but I'm enjoying it so far and can have larger portions withoutfeeling guilty. Wish I could sub bread but that's not going to happen anytime soon 😂
Common sense is not common
Small progress is still progress
