    Hello
Well done on the losses and sts’s.

Thanks Brambling.🤞I don’t plateau and can smash my target before the end of the quarter.

Love the excess weight as suitcases basketcase. I’ve never thought of it like that before.

Yesterday I hadn’t had enough calories so I had a peanut butter cup chocolate after supper.

    Today
Breakfast: poached eggs, mushy avocado and peanut chilli sauce; 1 x coffee with cream
Late lunch ( impromptu eating out ): sashimi, 2 boiled shrimp nigiri, edamame, coleslaw- ish cucumber salad with roe, vegetable garnish I thought was vermicelli noodles but was maybe radish
Dessert/supper: sugar free jelly and cream

I've also had 1/2 scoop of sf electrolyte powder in some water so an additional 5 calories!

Presumably your tracking's more tailored and/or sophisticated than FitPal or similar?
What would you like your BMI to be?  It sounds like you don't have too much to lose.  From previous experience I start to look a bit haggard if I get below 21.5 - my face becomes a bit skeletal, even if my hips don't! :D
Probably BMI of 20 would be OK.
At one time it was 34.5 and I lost weight gradually.  One person I was working with later and whom I told of my weight loss remarked that he wouldn't have known because I didn't look as though I had lost weight like that.

I can't compare my records with FitPal etc as I don't have experience of them.  It took a while to build up my "data base" of different products but finding, copying and pasting is easy and I use quantities that I regularly use.

    Update...

Last got in scales -2.5 down....

Last week went to local minor injury unit (Rang 111 told, call back within 6 hours by a Dr, tried to do the right thing and avoid A&E as we are told to....., 9 hrs later no call) I was seen by an angel / Dr at the minor injury's,  I was unable to walk without assistance.  Minor injury had me checked by a nurse, X-rayed and seen by a Dr x2 within 2 hrs on a Monday morning

One knee has 2 tears and needs replacing.  Good knee, been complaining about it since 2018, current Dr / MSK team have not helped.  Good knee has now gone ..pop... (have asked for help with it since Oct 18!)

Injury unit Dr   -    I  asked him why My GP's had a problem giving me the pain meds that I prev. had ... he laughed and said it is all about them working to a budget.  he said I should be comfortable and looking at my problems / pain  I am not ' Basically my GP are putting their cost / budget over my pain / comfort.

So, have been eating sympathy bread and cr"p.... lol with cheesecake thrown in.

I now have to have X weeks physio before I can have an MRI, despite having to get help to put my socks N Crocs on and not being able to walk more than 2 steps without help.

Nice Dr said he cannot send anyone for an MRI ..... unless someone who is not a GP ticks a box.

@Brambling - I will update when things are back to normal.

Pain meds do not help weight loss!!!

I’m also impressed by people who do spreadsheets!  I don’t do mine because I'm good at it or for interest/enjoyment, but because if I don’t the dyscalculia means I make mistakes far too easily, especially with my bank balance.  This way, once I’ve set up the formulae correctly once (and it can take me days…), it’s done and I can tell where I stand.

    • Breakfast - Cereal, 50ml SS milk + 200ml Cashew milk, pot of tea
    • Lunch – Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
    • Dinner – Bacon medallions and hash browns
    • Snacks/treats - none
    • Drinks - diet Coke/water

Not the healthiest and very unbalanced – not a piece of fruit or veg in sight!  I will improve.  In my defence, I was eating stuff up, I’d been lugging stuff around in an effort to declutter the house as well as me so I was tired.  In fact, it’s my version of comfort eating, without the crisps, cheese and glass of Pimms…

    No excuse, I know.

I need to plan better – starting with a meal plan, then shopping for all the stuff I haven’t got!  The reason it’s a bit different this time is that I usually think “I’ve let things slide, I need to do this” and start the change planned and stocked.  This time I thought “Right basketcase – stop making excuses.  It’s the 1st of the month tomorrow and you’re not waiting for Q3.  Back on the wagon NOW!”  Unfortunately, the wagon isn’t very well stocked at the mo.

BTW, I think it depends what you mean by leading by example.

I’ve been to quite a few different slimming clubs which have been lead by nice slim examples of the “If I’ve done it, you can too” variety.  I think the last one was working because the leader – who decided to give up during lockdown – had, herself, fallen off the wagon.  So she had an “I’ve fallen off the wagon.  I have to get back on.  This is what I’m doing” attitude.  When she sympathised you knew it was real!

A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
