Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2022 - 2nd Quarter

Feel like I have my head back in the game so have stopped slinking! Don't know what the results of tomorrow's weigh in will be but I know next week I'll see a loss if I carry on like this. Have been tracking all food - it's amazing how being accountable and the nuisance of having to log something makes me re-evaluate whether I really want to snack!4

Reporting a 2lb weight loss for week 1.
Still sticking to the plan - had a lovely lunch today of warm veg (courgette/spinach/cherry toms/PS broccoli/pea shoots - mainly from my veg box) with poached salmon, a little bacon and some pine nuts. Took it in a tub to the woodland playgroup I was taking my 3yo daughter to - normally I take a cheese toastie to put on the campfire and eat a bunch of toasted marshmallows so a definite improvement on the healthiness of the lunch! And I made a second tub for tomorrow’s lunch.Bambi (my DD) wanted hummus sandwiches for lunch so I made some hummus and now have some for snacks with veg sticks - if I get any as DH and the kids all love hummus 🤣
Need to get off my bum and do today’s workout before going to get 6yo DS from school, currently trying to summon up the motivation. If I leave it til after we come home I’ll run out of time I think, as the kids will want to go to the playpark after school and we’re having a barbecue for dinner which will take a bit of time.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

nice to see all the halos well done folks
your lunch looks really tasty Bluegreen
CCW007 I find the weeks i menu plan and write down what i've eaten are the weeks i lose weight, as you say some accountability can be a good thing. I did watch something once where they recommended writing down what we eat especially if we were saying 'I don't know why i can't lose weight i'm being good' but to write it down as we ate because people were missing up to a third if they waiting until the end of the day to list it because they were forgetting what they had eaten
Hope everyone has a good weekend

@Brambling my mum and sister are trying to lose weight just now too so we are literally texting each other with every meal we eat to stay on track! Puts me off cheating knowing I’ll need to confess!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Definitely! Will be interesting to see how it pans out as we’re trying different approaches. My mum is doing much lower calories diet and more plant based food, but not working out. My sister hasn’t decided exactly what she’s doing but think it’s the odd gym session and general healthy eating… I’m doing higher protein/low carb and lots of exercise.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
