Aren't they just doing their job, who is going to tip me for doing mine? lol
Sounding very pecimistic, if my milkman gave me a xmas card I'd immediately think he was trying to butter me up lol0 -
We seem to get a different postman every day :rotfl: makes life easy:T I usually give a bottle of plonk to the window cleaner...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

well i would hate to do hours that they all do, theyre not the norm are they? having to get up in the middle of the night to start their working day, and working all sorts of weather, not having the choice of going home just cos you got rained off, i agree, tip them if you want, i know i will be and as for getting a xmas card off the milkman, well id take this to think that hes thanking me for my custom than anything else.0

We give the milkman a £5 tip. I know it is there job, but people leave waitresses tips and that is their job - so what difference is there?
If i like someone, or have been given a good service - i tip them. It's nice to be nice.

our postman does a fantastic job and is always pleasant and so is the riverford man. They are both going to get £10 from me in appreciation0

my mum used to buy a big mars bar multi pack for the bin men lol i just hope they washed their hands before eating them!0

I will be tipping
Post man £5.00
binmen £5.00 and box of roses
tesco delivery man £5.00
hairdresser £5.00
(don't get milk delivered.)
I know they are only doing their job but I feel it's the one time of year that I should show my appreciation. Puts me in the Christmas spirit and I know they really appreciate it.
In return my bosses in work always give the staff presents of about £20 each.Money SPENDING Expert0 -

I will be tipping both my postie and binmen this year as both do that little bit extra (Oops realise how that may sound - sorry :rotfl: ).
Postie signs stuff for me if he knows I am out to save me having to go to the Mail office and the binmen still take my bags if I forget to move them to the front of my garden. So I feel they deserve a tip.
I am a hairdresser and if you put alot of effort into someones hair, it is nice to get a tip. I could just do their hair and move on to the next client, but I like them to feel special.
Also I will be giving cards to my clients (maybe a small gift too), but that doesn't mean I expect one back.0
